FFX was published by Square (before it became SE) and it was published on 1 disc.

Also, you're getting your relationships wrong. Here's what you're saying:
If all Square games = good
Multidisc games = bad
Square games are multidisc, therefore (multidisc games =bad) is false.

It could also be the case that multidisc games are bad, but Square's games are just so damn good they overcome the bad.

The market between hardcore and casual is dying. With everyone playing WoW, and the hardcore gamers playing FPS, there is no market for GTA4. GTA4's poor sales don't really surprise me; the other ones didn't sell well either. You should be looking at numbers for Fallou3, Farcry 2, etc that are multiplatform and simultaneous release (unlike Gears 1 or Halo for PC).

Also, I'd like to add, if the developers have to POINT OUT the changes to gamers, it's probably not significant.

Fanboys picked that demo clean in less than 12 hours after release. Now all of a sudden the devs want to go be like "See see, pretty textures right? It's better, even though we said it wasn't about a month ago. Please forget about that and buy our game"

I'm buying the game anyhow because my laptop doesn't run it, and I don't have a Xbox, and t...

Are the games going to be stand alone or is it required to purchase the Terran campaign first, then the Zerg or Protoss campaigns.

Any real starcraft player would buy them all anyhow, but that's one way to tell if they're milking it--if they force you to buy everything.

Anyhow I predict that in 3 years we'll be able to buy the Battlechest with everything for probably $50.

Except this is coming much sooner than I thought. They made the PC store to tide us over, so this looks like a new feature to hype the new PSP.

I'm a R1/L1 shoot kind of guy myself. R2/L2 shooting just feels weird. I went to do one of those "one-two" combos and ended up fipping through my weapons.

I'm sure they already thought of this and (if they don't have full customizable), then they have multiple layouts.

Until someone loses an eye.

It's packaged in such a way that anyone can start to play, but only the hardcore players will put in the hours to make the obscenely awesome levels that are challenging and fun. No way a casual would do that.

is that Bluray players can not only play DVDs, but they upscale them too. This makes it more appealing because I can buy a Bluray player and not have to replace my existing collection, as all these people like to claim. I can also buy the movies I'd like in the best quality on Bluray (Transformers, Iron Man, Batman), but get the stuff I'd like to watch anywhere (or not so great movies, but still worth watching once in a while) on DVD since 1) they're cheap, and 2) they do play anywhere.

I want infinite redownloads on my personal system, plus a way to switch systems (via console serial numbers or something) to my new console should mine break. I want to be able to switch it, not rely on some tech to do it for me.

Also, games are going to have to be AT LEAST half the price they currently are before I consider it. I'm not paying $60 for something I don't have in my hand.

And buy an OEM copy or upgrade license down the road. They're significantly cheaper than a retail full version DVD.

than just "Don't talk about RRoD."

It was probably something more along the lines of like "Don't reveal anything that could potentially affect the company's value, the company's brand image, trade secrets, patented technologies, any software/hardware you have been shown or stumbled across."

I'm sure those dudes that send in spy shots of new tech gadgets are in violation of NDAs, and you can argue they're giving good publicity.

You saturated the market at that price point, and in an effort to increase sales more you lower the price (taking into account all of the cost cutting you've done while making it at the higher price point), thus bringing in a new demographic who wouldn't have spent $100 more for the same thing.

It suggests she could have been a victim of the social engineering thing, where people call up MS support and get the rep to feel sorry for them, and then give over the password. Some ******* apparently get off to that sort of thing.

His account wasn't "hacked" but yeah it could have been parents racking up too much money (I doubt that's what it is though, because they were on vacation and can presumably prove his Xbox wasn't on), then there's also the 'friends' steali...

If they added more buttons or another stick then it wouldn't be the PSP anymore. If anything they'd save that for the PSP2, since every game that came out supporting the new PSP3K wouldn't work on the PSP<3K.

Really all these things are are extra feature upgrades. You don't quite need them, so if you stuff works, more power to you. If you're in the market, you pick up the newest one with the added features.

In any case, I predict a large number of PSPs going on...

Is that the local mono/duopolies (cable+phone companies) have no incentive to upgrade their existing capacity. It's like that with wireless service too. AT&T has more subscribers in some areas than they have infrastructure, leaving dropped calls and all that crap.

Other countries with (considerably) faster internet have government restrictions in place about line sharing (they have to lease out lines, so that gives more smaller ISPs a chance without them having to own infra...

The happy hacking keyboard, but at ~$40 you should probably just get this.

I agree though, it's a pretty sleek add-on, just I would have liked the price to be $39.99. That sounds more reasonable.

Right now it's $5 less than a full controller.

If he bothered to look up info about Warhawk, the game fully installs to your harddrive (with the exception of the bonus crap the BD has over the PSN version). However, it does not install a file that lets you start up the game from the XMB, whereas the PSN version includes that file. If you put in your Warhawk disk, it will check the disc, and start up the game. At that point you can now eject Warhawk, stick it in your friends machine, and he can play with your copy of Warhawk. Once he s...

These fanboys must be really insecure about their platform of choice. Why wish bad games on anyone because they don't agree with you? It's juvenile and seems like you're envious of what other people have. Gaming is about having fun, and while you can hope that your platform sells the most, at the end of the day it's whatever you have fun with after you come home from work/school.
