The casual market could carry them on through, but most of Nintendo's big guns are first party titles, which they usually only release one of (Mario,Zelda, and such) each generation. Playstation and Xbox on the other hand rely more on third party titles and probably won't have a drought.
About the only way i see the Wii surviving is on price point alone. Unless, like you said, whole divisions in companies are devoted to making new games for the Wii and not just PS2 ports.
...
It's hypocritical of the federal government to lecture us all day about how bad videogames are and then to turn around and use them as a tool to recruit people for the military.
From what i have seen the new 80 GB model won't have the emotion engine chip built in and may not play PS2 games as good. So at least i got lucky by getting one early.
I just bought mine three weeks ago. How do you think i feel?
Applied directly to the forehead!!!
I hope this gets thrown back in every holy than thou politicians face the next time they mention that games encourage violent behavior and that they need to be banned.
We can't handle playing them because they might corrupt us, but the army can use them to trick kids into joining up. Lame.
Edit: This isn't meant to insult anyone in the armed forces. I was just merely pointing out the hypocrisy of it.
More like "Going to Iraq to get shot" achievement.
Fresh spam for lunch.
That the Wii will do fine this year and into the early part of next year. After that, since most of the big first party games have been made, the popularity will drop off unless there is some MASSSIVE third party support.
Can Capcom whore this game out anymore? Everyone and their brother has played RE4. GET TO WORK ON RESIDENT EVIL FIVE!!!!! I would like to play it this gen. (and please let us be able to move and shoot this time).
I bought a Wii at launch and played it to death (Mostly Zelda) and then i just stopped. After i got done with that game nothing else interested me. After i turned it on one day and relized i hadn't played it in 4 months and no games i wanted to play were coming out until Xmas i sold it. I might get one later next year but i'm not sure. Motion sensitive controls just didn't do it for me.
Seriously though, I see crackheads all the time at my local Gamestop trying to trade in all kinds of systems and games that you know that they stole. A while back one of my friends house got broken into and his 360 stolen. It was later found at Gamestop and the guy who stole it(meth addict)got arrested.
Let me tell you something Joe Rogan. I smoke rock!!! Shazam!!!
N64 was codenamed "Project Reality" then "Ultra 64"
The Gamecube was code named "Dolphin" after the processors.
First i missed the Warhawk one and now this!! What the hell do you have to do to get into betas!?
I don't get why they would need to blur it. If it was a new controller wouldn't it just have a different name written on top? The only reason i can think of is that the whole controller has been modified, or at least a few buttons have.
All they need to do for the next PSP is to give it two analog sticks and a harddrive.
Edit: And allow it to run at its full capacity - 333 mhz or what ever it is from the start.
I just hope the new controllers will hold a charge as long as the Sixaxis. That thing holds a charge forever, second only to the Wavebird controller.
I took my whole system apart when it died too. Sucks that we can't get them fixed now.
Just scroll down. It's starting.
