They aren't ripping you off at Gamestop they are bending you over the counter and dry running it to you. The trade in value on a PS2 is $30 and $20 for an original Xbox. Then they pay you in crumpled up old dollar bills and throw you out on the street without even a kiss and never call the next day. 8D
*For those with no sense of sarcasm/humor - Gamestop is rip off.*
Is it the second demo from the European store? The one that let's you play most of the first level as Keats or Ellen?
From what i could tell about the demo Conan was alright. It does look like it would get really frustrating the further you got into the game though.
BC through hardware, 4 usb, no card readers
The 60GB was good at launch and leading up to this holiday season because the full BC let you play your PS2 games since there really weren't that many PS3 games available. Now that some good PS3 games are coming out i doubt that many people will be buying a PS3 to play PS2 games on it.
It's just that most don't play online that much (with headsets) or if they want a game they have their BF/Husband get it for them. Now about this whole shift the industry to cater to women thing. Do you really want to be playing EA "Let's do the laundry 09" or something every year? Because thats the type of games devs think women want (looking at you Ubisoft). Devs just need to make games and let everyone enjoy them. Not try to cater to every little special interest group possible. ...
It's just that they are were the money is and devs know it. Think about it. Have you ever seen a multi-million dollar ad campaign for any casual game? Now think of all the places Halo 3 was whored out at, and all the non-gaming merchandise associated with it. Devs know that hardcore gamers are who they'll rake in the big dollars from all at once. The casual market is their fall back plan to get a small amount of money for the rest of the non-holiday year.
An ex-gf of mine decided she liked Toomba (PS1 game) after watching me play it and wanted to give it a try. I swear i almost had an aneurysm trying to help her out. I couldn't leave her alone though or i would be buying a new controller many times a day so i had to grin and bear it.
Except casual gamers don't buy as many games. That's why the Wii has such a low attach rate. All the casuals are buying the systems but not that many games. That's great for the console manufacturers but it kinda sucks for the devs of games.
They should have put everything in the GOTY edition. There's no excuse not to.
I wonder what kind of "motivation" she will be providing our plumber friend? The kind that will prove he isn't U R MR Gay? 8D (I'm so going to get flamed by some fanboy for that. LOL)
Anyway, i can't wait to play this game!!!! Bee suit Mario FTW!!!!
Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku!!!!
She's 31
I bet the guys who created that shirt get sued or are forced to stop selling under threat of being sued.
SNES Era (Super Metroid, Super Mario Land, Link to the Past, etc) was my favorite and the only era i still own all the games i bought during it. I do admit though that the nostalgia factor is what keeps it number one.
Followed by last gen (Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, Gamecube). It was the first era i owned all of the consoles. So many different varieties of games available to play make it a close second.
Third was the NES era. It was a fun era but nothing really stands...
This has to be an elaborate set-up by Chris Hanson and crew to weed out the pedos on Ebay.
True GeOW didn't have a demo but i don't remember seeing anybody floating in the air like in the Assassin's Creed demo whenever a Gears demo was shown. It makes me wonder if the game is going to be buggy and half-a$$ed or not. I'm still interested in the game but i think it'll be a rental first.
*LOL @ And yes, I would love for her to swim in my sperm as if she were trying out for the Beijing Olympics!*
You hear that Saints Row, Dead Rising, Just Cause, and Crackdown? You guys don't exist!!!
Inconceivable!!!!
I hate to say it but COD4 just got bumped to my "rental" list.
