marketing directors try to "take credit" for a title, when its success is the actually the result of the hard-working development team. Activision is a great publisher and all, but Harmonix made Guitar Hero great (see non-Harmonix sequel), and Infinity Ward made CoD4 great (see non-IW sequel).
Yes, Duty has upped the bar. Congrats, marketing shill, you sold water in the desert. That must be a really tough gig.
I guess I'll just burn all my old, worthless comics and baseball cards then.
LAWLZ111 ninty's gone darkside
but its nice to have good clean rips for those who care. And you don't have to sit through the shaky-cam of d00ds narrating while they open the box and put the disc in.
i walk into someone's living room, and they're bragging about their expensive HDTV set, and they have some crap SD signal stretched out to 16x9 with hecka chunky artifacts everywhere. LOLZ! do u even know what ur paying for??
A bunch of game sites and mags you've heard of are about to write reviews of the biggest game of the year. Big Effing Surprise. This is not even remotely news. Seriously, though, next post will be about what Brian Crescente found in his toenails on the flight to New York to play GTA IV. Now that's good reading!
Will Wright is my hero.
what an IGN magazine would look like? 100,000 pages of disorganized mayhem. LOLZ!
He called out television before games. Why does Obama hate video screens? Politicians needs those to deliver propaganda!
I love the one where the screen goes to just blank yellow for several seconds. FAIL!!!
guess i'll just have to play the multiplayer in a little game called GTA IV.
When I was in Kuala Lumpur a while back you could buy pirated versions of EVERYTHING for about a dollar apiece. Some even had archived older versions, so you got 5, 6, 7, CS 1, etc. all on one disc.
..would disagree with you, but then would have to agree with the video. But then they'd be agreeing with something GamesRadar made, which goes against their pro-GameSpot stance. So they'd have to disagree with the video. So they agree with you?
One thing I can agree to is that all the 100 Reasons videos made me ROFFLE.
until i read this interview. I agree that media's priorities are out of whack, but I also feel like if ultra-right religious psychos are plotting to destroy freedom, I'd like to know who they are.
...movin' to the beat of The Man...
Sorry, couldn't resist a little A.P.P. reference there. My point is that the media's sole function is to get people to pay attention to it. The resulting sensationalized approach to journalism is why Americans know every last detail about Britney's custody problems but can't figure out why the economy is collapsing. Luckily, there is a power button which can be used to silence the omnidirectional sludge pump. Media only has as much power as you...
agreed - my work setup is much preferable to my home office too. but after 10-12 hours at work, and another 2 in the car commuting, i'm not about to sit in front of my PC at home for another few hours. all a matter of lifestyle and personal preference; my next home-entertainment goal is to build a theater in the basement complete with big cushy seats, HD projection, every console known to man and some kind of media-serving computer. it will pwn$$$!!!
ass ergonomics. Sitting at a PC feels like work.
Plenty of games get excreted onto store shelves when the devs clearly needed more polish time. Very few have the luxury of being able to tell their publishers and the public "It'll be ready when it's done." Ad campaigns have to be orchestrated and other AAA release dates have to be considered, just like with blockbuster films.
Though it borrowed a lot from Zelda, it was/is still a great game with lots of originality that every gamer should play.
for middle America? Maybe. Seems from some of these comments that ppl can't get past the "gayness" to see the satire. Should N4G be reserved solely for posting the snippy sound-bites these companies constantly level at each other? Aren't you bored of that yet? I prefer GamesRadar's satirical take on the industry. And as for "gayness," homophobes can STFU, you have no right to tell anyone else how to live.
