Now they're halfway to their breakeven point in their marketing campaign. After that -- Pure profit. I was skeptical that 'Kinect' would sell at all, but this has proven me wrong.d
Numbers are too high for both Sony and Microsoft to fail now. Looks like both products are going to be in the market now to compete the Wii.
If it makes any Anti-Kinect fans feel better, the Kinect will need to sell over a million units to make back it's marketing cost; And that's not including the money spent on "Kinectimals" or the tech for Kinect development cost.
And has already outsold more then Kinect will ever sell.
Most of the "bundles" are standalone products, and the most expensive one I've seen (with 18 bids) was at $88 and over 9 hours left.
Then, I saw an "Unopened PlayStation Move Bundle" that had over 2 days left and was already over $102. Looks like the PlayStation Move Bundle is in demand, and many consumers don't know what to look for.
PS2 sales predicted to halt by 2011, PSP2 will have PS2 backwards compatibility, earning PlayStation3 PS2 backwards compatibility for a small fee (Or firmware) and a new updated PlayStation Store to sell PS2 games.
Oh wait, they're on strike from not being paid their royalties. Right.
Hardcore gamers are obviously against it, but how will it do against the casual market, where this is wholly being marketed to?
I see it doing as well as the "Eye Toy" was. A moderate success, but nothing to gloat over.
... As we raise the price of standard videogames from $50 to $60, and DLC from $9.99 to $14.99...
Because the title had nothing to do with "PlayStation Move".
...
When you eat your dinner in front of the TV because you can't pause a cutscene.
Oh right, to justify the increase in X-Box Live Gold and to increase ad space.
PSP Go that is.
That the article claims that the PS3 cannot play PS1 titles, when they're readily available on the PlayStation Store, can be played by Remote Play and can play the actual hardware disc, too?
He said, yes, it is a delicate decision, but EA has every right to release the game and if you don't like it, don't play it. I wish everyone else had the same view as Sessler.
Title should read "Current generation". It's been current gen now, for over 4 years.
But the 219 might have been part of other stores as well. They had an entire list of Toys 'R US stores in their car, and the police were looking to see which other ones have already been robbed by them.
I think Sony will be able to create a profit sometime next year. ModNation Racing and LittleBIGPlanet 2 getting a release this year, PlayStation Move and the first time profitable PS3 will surely push Sony's Gaming division towards profit.
Can't wait to see what the surprise is at E3 this year. Sony is looking to please a lot of people this year.
"8 greatest nerd rages". Seriously.
UNCyrus ... That's "Cyrus" from the first season of "The Tester".
