It was my first PS1 game. :) I still play it all the time.

I've played both Mass Effect games on PC. You do NOT have to play the first one to get anything more out of the second. Also, the PS3 version of ME2 comes with an intro about the story of ME1 where you get to make the main decisions from it.

Then a "true Zelda fan" has low expectations. The puzzles in Zelda aren't challenging. The pacing is irrelevant because the story is practically non-existent. Why can't they give us a good story? The boss battles aren't epic. They're boring. The bosses in Twilight Princess were total rip-offs.
I'm really debating Skyward Sword.
If the name "Zelda" wasn't slapped on it, it would look like a really crappy game.
