My argument was that Nintendo is charging for access to their Switch cartridges, not that actually producing them costs more. Why would Nintendo charge their own 1st party studios to use their cartridges? I've only heard about 3rd parties increasing their prices, which validates my guess.
3DS and switch cartridges are aren't the same, and not to mention Nintendo's business strategy is different now from when they released 3DS. Nowadays they nickel and dime gamers for ever...
Just guessing, but I bet Nintendo is a gatekeeper for using their special cartridges. Maybe the cartridges don't cost $10, but going through Nintendo's process does.
