Well, that's good to hear. I wonder though, where would Konami go from here in terms of AAA game development now that Kojima is gone? Kojima has pretty much been Konami's bread and better. Without Kojima there is no Konami.
@moldybread
Because Sony isn't necessarily telling Quantic Dream what game they want Quantic Dream to create, they are just taking ownership of the IP that they are creating.
For example, if I owned a candy business and 1 of the people that was close to me and worked with me wanted to create a new kind of candy but I told him that he can create the candy he wants to make but my company would have ownership over it, does that mean that I'm not giving h...
@moldybread
Sony only wanted to own the Sunset Overdrive IP for whatever reason. The Sunset Overdrive thing with Insomniac had nothing to do with Sony not allowing them creative freedom to create a game they wanted to create.
Having ownership of an IP is not the same thing as letting developers have creative freedom to make games that they want to create.
I can't wait either man. We will definitely see more of Media Molecules game at PGS. At E3 Media Molecule said they would share more about DREAMS at PGS.
And people wonder why Sony gets so much more games than other competing platforms. Well.. this is 1 of the reasons.
@gfk342
Lol that's true but you're probably going to get marked for trolling with that comment even though you're not really trolling and just speaking the truth on the matter. As you can see, people like UkrainianWarrior are very sensitive..
"more then just QD will be shown"
Well no sh*t Tidux. Of course they will show more games than that. That's like me saying the sun will rise tomorrow.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious Tidux lol
Anyway, sounds like PGS is going to be just as big as PSX is. Sony ain't playing around..
So this game will run at 1080p 60fps on the PS4. Impressive.. It looks like these devs are taking advantage of the PS4's GPU compute capabilities if I'm not mistaken.
Good job to these guys for actually putting effort into taking advantage of the PS4's hardware capabilities instead of being lazy and aiming for parity by locking it at the same framerate as other platforms.
Ahh, good ole Seppy is doing what he does best, coming to Microsoft's rescue.
Instead of defending Microsoft and damage controlling for them why don't you criticize Microsoft and question them for not allowing this game to be put on the Xbox One?
I'm a PlayStation fan and I've criticized Sony on this site plenty of times. You're ALWAYS damage controlling and defending Microsoft whenever they do something questionable or wrong. I understan...
@LifeInNZ
Hate, dislike, not a fan, whatever. You know what I mean and you understand the point I'm trying to make. Stop trying to argue semantics with me dude.
All I'm saying is if he says he dislikes something or he's not a fan of something then he should probably stop talking about how he dislikes it if he's going to keep pursuing it. That's like someone saying they dislike candy yet they're still going to the grocery store and buyi...
Well he should keep his mouth shut about how he hates third party exclusivity deals then. All he's doing is contradicting himself.
The thing I find funny about this article is he says he's not a fan of third party exclusivity deals but then contradicts his statement by bringing up Rise of the Tomb Raider's third party exclusivity deal. If this guy dislikes third party exclusivity deals so much then why is Rise of the Tomb Raider a timed Xbox One exclusive?
The next best thing for Microsoft to do is to try to win in the US. I think Sony and Microsoft will have a tugawar in the US. But Worldwide? The console war is already over. You're right about that Haru
Gaming media and gaming sites weren't as prevalent back then. Back then people weren't really watching E3 (believe it or not, E3 back then was more centered around the press than it was the fans). The only time people really went to gaming sites was mainly to find cheat codes and that was it. Now that gaming media is out there and is a lot more prevalent today, companies can't take jabs like that at each other anymore for fear of ruining their reputation. 1 of the reasons for this...
I agree. Until Dawn doesn't have that every second tension that P.T had. In P.T you were scared every second. Until Dawn definitely had it's great moments of tension though. Maybe the second one will have more tension to it. I hear they might make another 1. Great game nonetheless.
Man dude.. playing all these these horror games makes me even more excited for Sony' Bend's game. Sony Bend's game is supposedly an open world horror game too.
I'm talking strictly about home consoles. I'm not talking about handhelds, mobile phones, etc.
Isn't it obvious that I was talking about consoles? I mean the article is about the Wii U, the PS4 and the Xbox One's sales...
Yea he did. I remember watching Sony's E3 2003 back when I was in like the 3rd grade with my older brother. I think the PS2 was at like 50 or 60 million and the Gamecube and Xbox were at 10 million. A lot of people think Sony's cocky now but they have no idea what a cocky Sony truly is. This was when Sony was really cocky lol
EDIT: Here's a link I found, surprisingly https://www.youtube.c...
I give EA and DICE credit for including dedicated servers in their games. Call of Duty is suppose to be the most profitable video game franchise ever and every Call of Duty game makes over a billion $ for Activision yet they still can't seem to include dedicated servers in Call of Duty (at least on consoles). It's ridiculous.
PS4 has over 50 % market share. Incredible..
I'm going to quote what Kaz said back at Sony's E3 2003 conference since it still stands true today.
"There's a place where you can find the other video game consoles and that happens to be in the rear-view mirror.
- Kaz Hirai"
It seems like it is. Sony usually drops the price of their consoles 2 years after they've been released. I expect Sony to drop the price in NA or globally right before the years over.
