There isnt a halo movie because MS are a bunch of money grubbing whores. TWO studios combined couldnt afford to make it. There are some good interviews with the Director of D9 that shed some light on the situation, but basically the studios got sick of trying to deal with MS and decided over the course of a day it wasnt going to happen.
Although I'm kinda glad. District 9 is incredible.

Lol. Reason Im a Sony guy is all the 1st/2nd party devs that do nothing but try to push the hardware and make great games. There isnt any politics involved and they have their fingers in most every genre. To be honest, I am probably going to buy EA/Acti games in the future, But I'll be getting them used where ever possible.
