I wait a while before investing in a product. Although the console looks great on paper I can't purchase until I've tried it at a friend's house and say "I've got to get one of these."

Going third party would be interesting and I personally wouldn't be heart broken if it happened. But Nintendo takes chances (power glove, 3D gaming, motion control, Wii U gamepad). Some ideas work and others don't. You don't see Sony and Microsoft take chances like that. They, on some levels, copy Nintendo success. Looking at you playstation move. The gamepad is what sold me mostly. It has a surprisingly fast browser and I have a tiny apartment so it reaches to the bedroom and bathroom. Internet, Netflix, gaming in my hands. I know its a gimmicky thing to like but its cool. I'm using it right now to type this. I never owned a touch computer or ipad so that is maybe why I fell for it. It's just cool beans. And I invested in it because I know Nintendo's first party games will be great.
