In my opinion the Wii U is fine on power.
What it needs is games. Even one game can make it a success. I had a dream the other night about a system selling game. Pokemon Z in 2015 on the Wii U . Now that would sell systems. and thats all the Wii U needs to end up being at least mediocre and not a disaster . One killer game.

What types of games differ from a region like Europe from a region like USA? Is there a big enough discrepancy from region to region for an uproar? Or is it just gamers in one region wanting one specific game or franchise that is only for another region?

COD games are fun and I have no hate for them. A better story mode is all the COD franchise needs. As long as they provide a story worth experiencing maybe more games will be sold on top of the allready high sales they acheive.

People don't seem to realize that specs don't matter as much as games in regards to console sale figures. Your example of Wii and PS2 sales is good. But I've got a better one, how much more powerful is the PSVita compared to the 3DS? Now don't get me wrong the Vita will be, and recently has been, selling better later on but that's also a great example of games beating specs.

I don't agree with your opinion. Wii U wont win. But it's my personal favorite console. Even if the Wii U goes the way of the GameCube or, in worst case, Dreamcast (which I doubt) I will enjoy it non the less.
I could play a Mario game in a different language and still have fun. If this game is anything like the 3D Land 3DS game, that's okay with me because that game was fenominal.
There shouldn't be a question regarding whether or not it looks similar. The fact that many people are seeing it as too similar is not good.
