How is this news? Hey, these games aren't being made!! In other news, Valve isn't remaking the original Half Life!! Nintendo isn't remaking Kung Fu!!
"The author claims the statement was made by the developers and besides why would he twist the developers comments? Hopefully we will get a more detailed interview soon."
Wha? An author twist someone's words to mean what he wants it to mean? That's insane. Of course, based on your comment and submission history, you took it hook, line and sinker. Anything pro-Xbox, anti-PS.
With corporate law, it takes a while to make sure you even have a legitimate claim. Companies don't just sue unless they know they can win. It may have taken a year just to make a case.
You would definitely be one of a select few. I could never even figure out what to do! Stupid FBI agents...
I love articles like these that say "worst games of all time!!" yet only have games from the most recent generation. It just shows that I'm getting old :(
My list would have a lot more games from past gens. Sadly, I think there is more disappointment with games these days only because the Internet reveals wery single fact and hypes up games that aren't worthy of being hyped. We used to have to wait until next month's magazine to find gaming news.
You got Litt up!
Sorry, had to say it. I love Suits.
Publisher, not developer. There's a difference. I'd probably have to agree, I've bought a lot of Ubi games lately. Smart move picking up South Park, loving that game.
Not there Day 1 with original Xbox, didn't hit until near the end of the console's lifespan around 2005. I think you are thinking of PGR which I sorely miss :(
What's crazy is Gran Turismo has been out almost 7 years longer and yet Forza has almost caught up as far as numbered sequels go.
Hm. Doesn't say XBOX ONE exclusive (or Only on Xbox)anywhere on it. Eenteresting....
All the 2K sports games were in 2005.
Saints Row 3 was definitely different and had issues, but I played the hell out of it coop with my friend. Looking forward to doing the same with SR4.
And that dub-step gun looks sweet.
In other words, we released the "DLC" that was pretty much locked on the disc and screwed gamers who were stupid enough to buy the Season Pass, so now we are working on REAL dlc that is of the same quality as the first game.
The Wii outsold the 360 and PS3. How many half-assed ports did the 360/PS3 get? Hardly any.
Even if the WiiU takes off, developers will still be drawn to the other two systems because, for some unknown reason, 3rd party games just don't do that great on Nintendo systems. It's bizarre.
This is a little misleading. I worked for Gamestop, and they close a lot of stores EVERY year. They also OPEN a bunch of stores every year. After the merger with EB, Gamestop had a lot of stores literally across the street from each other. As these leases expire, they will close one of the stores. It's just a common business practice.

Just from reading the article, it sounds like there will be far more graphics engines developed by middleware than this last generation. You're going to see more games predominantly using middleware engines than ever before. Just think how many games used the Unreal engine this gen? Next gen, these major publishers will not only rely on their software sales but licensing costs from their engines to succeed. Not having to develop your own engine will save you those production costs.
In other news, the sky is blue today.
I watched the Concept Demo on IGN. It's definitely interesting and has the potential to become something pretty sweet. As far as the practicality of it, you would need to dedicate your living room in order to maximize the potential. It didn't really add anything to the experience. Looking forward to seeing some actual, real-world examples to see what smart developers can do with it.
Also, when they showed that cart racing game, my first thought was "Is that Mario...
I would really love to see Shenmue 1 & 2 released in their HD glory with trophies. I don't know why in the world Sega hasn't been on the ball with this.
Personally, I would love to see a robust Genesis collection hit the stores. There were a lot of great games back then: Shining Force, Phantasy Star, Moonwalker, etc. That last Genesis collection that put out was nice but a bit lacking.
1. Current gen Gears hasn't even been shown yet. Rush to judgment much?
2. Um, sonic adventure was fantastic. I'm glad it didn't stay on 16-bit.
3. God of War 3 was mind blowing. I'm glad it didn't stay on ps2.
4. Killzone 2 blew the first out of the water. It got better when it moved gens.
This article is stupid.
How about these?
1. Golden Axe
2. Bionic Commando
3. Shinobi
4. Double...
