It looks pretty, but what does that count for? I am still very worried that Bethesda doesn't understand what Fallout is about, and that this game is going to be a big disappointment. The release of Mass Effect has made it worse--Mass Effect was fun, but the non turn-based combat was just silly (not to mention INCREDIBLY easy).

As much fun as they were when I was a kid, nowadays I can't stand the concept of a fighting game where you have to memorize special combo moves and such. I like the Smash Bros approach better--all of the special moves are done with a certain button, so even a newbie can figure them out, but special moves alone won't win the match. I hope this game is innovative in that way, and does become another arcade button-masher.
The only thing I really want different in the next Gears is a matchmaking system like Halo. It's really dumb having to put up with the ancient player-server-oriented system and major host advantage, plus everyone teams up anyway, it's just more work, and bad news for whoever joins the game and isn't part of the team.
Yeah, I'm glad he mentioned the library level. Seriously, that level still fills me with thoughts of murder. And every darn corridor looks EXACTLY the same, so half the time I was just wandering back and forth trying to figure out where the idiotic floating orb wandered off to.
ESRB is a joke. I don't think it's an effective way to rate games at all.
But anyway, for those who said they played violent games as a kid and didn't go on a rampage, that's not the point. Only an idiot thinks violent games are going to make kids into murderers. There is still something to be said for letting kids mature intellectually and emotionally before they are exposed to excessive violence.

YES! Xvid and AC3 support is amazing! I've got a ton of videos I can finally watch on my TV.
My 360 makes a lot of heat, but I don't mind because it's really cold around here, and I'm too cheap to turn on the heater when I should--but not too cheap to play a lot of video games.
Oh my gosh.. anything that scores lower than Hour of Victory seriously deserves to be dumped in the trash.
The positive side is at least they couldn't possibly have wasted THAT much of our tax money on this... I mean, if they paid a lot for it, they probably would have produced a better game.
