I truly am very surprised and disappointed at the reactions people are having to this thread.
No one is attacking MW2 and saying it will NOT be a good game. We all know it WILL be great because it was destined to be, they cant fudge that game up considering most of it is copy/paste.
The problem is with the REVIEW system that current big name game magazines are using and brutally murdering the concept of game reviews in the first place.

The REAL popularity of FPS games stems from their PC counterparts and the ability to mod and host huge games with your own server's rules. This game is definitely gonna make money on the 360, but only cause they have no other games, they've been waiting since Gears 2 for a good title. Im pretty sure MW2 could have sold an insane amount if they had not made the mistakes they made. I mean... 9v9?!?!?! Even Killzone with its insane graphics can do 32v32.

With graphics like those, and from the fight scenes i've seen...I know they can put together a commercial or a series of commercials that would have people waiting anxiously for a release just to see what it's about.

Our apple harvest here at Sony has been extremely successful. We have enough to hold us over for another couple of months... they cant enjoy all these delicious apples...they have to keep chomping on the same apple for months waiting for the next one to grow...but then it grows and it's got worms in it and tastes like sh!t...

The Ninja Gaiden series never had any sort of blood spraying until NG2 was released on the Xbox. The game doesnt need blood to be fun. You could sit here all day and say that blood makes the game better...but in reality it doesnt...
(we still get that purple/blue blood or whatever it is...that should be enough to satisfy your need fore gore)
I enjoyed it so much that I decided to pick up a real guitar after I finished the game. I havent bought a guitar hero or rock band since then...just been playing my real guitar.
Games like these are great...they're sort of a vehicle or gateway...cause it may spark an interest in actual music playing to some kids.

Although both of those games are quite literally 2 of the best PS2 games released, they did not sell as well as id have thought.
The reason for the re-release is to give gamers that have adopted this new next-gen style of gaming a reason to TRY the previous 2 games of the series in HD before the 3rd is released.
No one here is getting screwed.
I own GoW1 and 2 and just finished beating both this summer...
It's not like they dont get sued every week by someone new though....
I just think it's sad that all these kids arguing in favor of 360 cant let go of the fact that their system is not made for next-gen gaming, it's made for gaming.
Doesnt necessarily mean it's a bad thing, but it IS bad to think that the 360 is top of the line, next gen equipment.
