Bought it off Steam; regret the purchase, especially with all the good games coming out soon.
We already known Diablo 3 is due Q1 2012 plus Vivendi have just registered the Mysts of Pandaria domain which hints at a new expansion pack which will no doubt boost subscription numbers. And like I said above, if they get too worried they'll just announce something to do with Project Titan.
Right now however 300,000 subs is small numbers as far as Vivendi are concerned especially as they have 11.1 million active subs at present. So I feel all the "WoW is dying&quo...
I doubt they're very bothered to be quite honest, 11.1 million is still millions more than their closest rival and it's only natural that numbers go down after the end content of WoW has been absorbed by its players.
Come the next expansion the numbers will go up again no doubt, as much as I agree that it's time to innovate. When Vivendi is that worried about numbers going down too much they'll just release some news on Project Titan.
Is there any need for two indentical stories on the front page?
Thank god we don't play Borderlands for the story. :P
It looks fine, much rather have something colourful and different than the typical grey, dull post-apoc that we've had a little bit too much of recently.
What with RAGE coming out soon looks like we'll have both types to choose from.
No thanks, plenty of generic post-apocalyptic games already out there.
I'll stick with something a little more original.
Try searching for the Borderlands Advanced Config Tool. Let's you chance the FoV ;)
As awesome as this game is going to be, whoever thought up the names for things in RAGE need to be a bit more original.
The Ark - Brink.
Wellspring - Goodsprings from New Vegas anybody?
As well as a character called Hagar?
Seriously, there are thousands if not millions of nouns in the English language, please find new ones to call things in videogames. It's getting as bad as calling planets/places Pandora in films/games :P
Firefox ad-blocker ;)
Not once in that article do they mention the W-word.
This is relevent to my interests.
Installed the update, fired up the game, first enemy I find is a scorpion in the floor with only the tail visible. Sigh.
And suddenly NPCs would run away from me screaming as if I was involved in combat or were attacking them. Highly annoying when trying to cash quests! Luckily sleeping/waiting solved this issue. Phew!
"I never agreed that the gameplay had been dumbed down at all."
So why is it in Crysis2 you can't use your suits Stealth until a mini-tutorial of when/how to use it? And you can't use the suits armor mode (the default mode of the suit in the original game) until the game lets you. Oh and can't modify your weapons until the game shows you how.
All of the above being available from the get-go in the original...
Old news is old.
And the highest form of intelligence apparently if the saying it to be believed.
Thanks for taking the time to read it.
PC bashing threads pop up so often with the usual argument of "they're so expensive and you have to upgrade them every other week" so I just point people in the direction of that blog now. :)
Sigh.
All I shall do is reply to this blog with a blog.

Enjoy.
A PC is a personal computer, no one "owns" PC. Yes Microsoft own Windows but that's just an operating system. So no, L4D isn't exclusive it M$ or any other company.
Luckily the pictures and rumours aren't official so who knws if they be in the game or not.
