Halo 3 was a killer app. It sold consoles. It definitely made the 360.
Sony and MS have invested alot and made two great machines. Sony's problem is that they refuse to change the old business model.
The confusion stems from the delusions that Sony fanboys suffer whenever good news happens for Microsoft.
Exactly right. Capitalism is freedom. Free people innovate.
I think we'll see a new console in 2012, and it won't be Sony. If it's Nintendo, it will be a toy, like the Wii. If it's Microsoft, it will have no disks and you will be able to buy games thru Live on day 1. Microsoft will provide kiosks in stores to support those with no internet connection. They will use USB flash drives to download through the kiosk (or any PC). (By the way, MS already has this system in place, except for DLC Kiosks.)
I thought you had to have 64-bit Windows to utilize 4GB of RAM? I heard 32-bit uses only 3 or 3.5GB?
Portal 2 is the most likely to fail in that list. The replay value of Portal 1 was very poor. Falling through holes gets old very fast.
The Sony fanboys are the real problem. They keep buying and praising old franchises. They're becoming like Nintendo fanboys who keep buying Zelda and Mario games.
If there's any hope for the Sony brand, you guys have to be willing to criticize with an open mind.
We should never rely on government oversight to correct the wrongs of private business. There are other forces which check private business such as avoiding the brand in the future, private media oversight, private consumer product reviews, etc.
God is in the details of any inspired work.
...by Sony.
Mass Effect 1 suffered from menu management. It was particularly bad on a first play. It was not user friendly.
The 4.1 million number was "shipped", not "sold". Patcher thinks that about 2.5 million Moves were sold (mostly in Japan). Sony refused to comment on sales which makes me think they sold less.
Launches usually sell high numbers due to the hardcore. We'll know the victor in a couple of months. My guess is that Move sales will take a hard dive.
HL2 was never "king". Halo was king until COD4.
PS1 physics.
it's "should have" or "should've" not "should of"
It is the right time for such a rumor. If MS will release a console in 2012, info will begin to leak.
GT5 is the fifth iteration of the same game as is Halo Reach. There comes a time when a game gets boring, regardless of the greatness of the first iteration.
It's called "milking the franchise". It happens to all successful games.
Sony confirmed it was 4.1 million shipped, not sold.
