Yea I hit a wall with this. It needs something to get me back into it and the nerfs ain’t helping. It needs more depth. I feel like the new customization options was the right direction but it feels flat. I feel like if they add monster hunter elements to this it would feel way more rewarding like rare enemy types with rare resource drops for a custom weapon attachment or skin etc.

I see gaas as a necessary boon to PlayStation as a whole. It would bolster their funding even higher.
This is how I see it. AAA sp games is Sonys cultural obligation to make for the industry and the PlayStation brand. Problem is AAA is a fluid term every start of a generation. Even if it were to run existing PS4 and ps5 games (which I hope it will) then it will cut out physical owners. It would only be feasible for digital only libraries. I expect it won’t run at 60fps. Doubt it runs at 1080p. Battery life would likely be ass. Yet why do I still want it? LMAO

Those two games you mentioned starfield and flight simulator I would buy day one for ps5 and hopefully Flight Simulator has PSVR2 support.
Free to play is one of the reasons I’m hating overwatch lol. They lied and scrapped so many new ideas bc their battlepass was enough for them. Disgusting.
I put 2000+ hours into overwatch. Im not as skeptical as most. Im interested enough to try it. If the gameplay is fun and addicting it will have a great initial release. Keeping its legs is a whole another question.
However you can never predict hits with live service. They usually become parabolic and explode out of nowhere. Millions of players who play live service are super casuals not dug deep into the gaming community like us who keeps up with gaming media news.

For a State of play it was actually alright. People are overshadowing it because they want to cancel Sony to high hell for Gaas which is not fair for the other devs who revealed great looking games that were just shown. I love playstation games but I also love multiplayer games. I have 100+ platinums in both single story and MP. I have put 2000+ hours into Overwatch. I love games In general. I don’t mind this tbh.
The synergy between gameplay and emotional connection with the characters backstories in a mp game is incredibly unique akin to OW.
It baffles my mind why blizzard hasn’t expanded or spin off the characters for single player.

Making a fun enjoyable game and keeping its community engaged is lucky? There’s probably some half truths to that. You can say that to a majority of Sonys AAA titles get lucky. How many of us bought a Sony exclusive just because it’s a Sony exclusive on top of million dollars of heavy marketing that goes with AAA.
