I think it's stemming from the widespread disappointment with BioShock Infinite's box art. I rarely saw "Worst Box Art" articles prior to that.
It's not the fact that he's in a different pose; it's because Activision did nothing but move the guy's right arm from resting on his knee to over his face. Almost NOTHING has changed.
Looks like my hopes for at least a teaser trailer at E3 2013 are crushed. :(

Exactly. Most of us gamers that grew up in the SNES-N64-Gamecube era have since become adults, going to college, working jobs, etc. Most of our friends have moved on as well, and it's become a rare thing to even SEE each other, let alone play games on local multiplayer. Online multiplayer would've only helped matters.

I got mine last week. Good console and all, and it has potential, but the lack of any hardware-pushing games or first-party games makes it worth waiting on. However, I can see the Wii U really taking off when we get a new 3D Mario, Mario Kart U, Super Smash Bros 4, a new Zelda, and hopefully a new Metroid Prime and Star Fox. Until then...meh.

Because camping power weapon spawns in multiplayer is completely fair, right? And earning your power weapons through ordnance drops isn't? Good logic there.
Exile is a terrible map anyway. There should be either a Gauss Hog or a Scorpion -- not both. I can agree the spawns are pretty screwed up.

Am I the only person here who is interested in the Wii U simply for the games and not about how fast it can manipulate 0s and 1s? All I want is Smash Bros 4 and (hopefully) Metroid Prime 4. Why? Because they're fun to play, not because I have an unhealthy obsession with processing power.
I'll save the performance lust for the X720/PS4.
