The Japanese are very fickle when it comes to products. I don't blame Samsung for getting the hell out of there. What's weird is that Apple, an all American company, does very well there. So in some sense, I don't think they do it to support Japanese companies, but Sony to Japan is like Microsoft to America. We've grown with our leading brands. Samsung is my new friend though and I will always buy Samsung over Sony. Sony still makes a great product but with their LCD HDTV's, they are ty...

...there aren't any issues of movies fitting on either format. The bottom line is, studios will support which ever format sells the most players. That fire sale pretty much solidified HD-DVD's ground in this war. Stupid as it may be, both camps are making smart moves but the bottom line is that the consumers are getting hurt by the market split.

I think that PS3 fanboys needed something. They needed something to talk about. Something to shove in the Xbots faces. Halo got great scores from every magazine and website. Ratchet and Clank didn't. Now they are pissed. They really can't use the, "Ratchet & Clank scored 90+ everywhere" argument....
It will still sell like hotcakes this Xmas. I just think their library will fizzle out like it always does.
First off, a 7.5 isn't a bad review. Secondly, I'd like to know how many of the people that commented on this review actually own the game? If you don't own the game how can you possibly have an opinion of a bad or good score?

The HD-DVD players are region free. Do they play regular DVD's from other regions too? I own several Asian movies. Even after writing that editorial, I've honestly been debating purchasing one of the cheap HD-DVD players and going against my own ideals. If anything, it would make a great upconvertable player, but my 360 does that fine. If it plays regular DVD discs from other regions, I'm picking one up tomorrow.
