to be fair, they only really started full development in 2011. a small team was working on Versus before that, thanks to Wada.
the notion of this game being in development since 2005 is false. apparently they barely even touched it before 2009
common & unfortunately expected Nintendo fan retort.
the root of the article stems from the 6v6 argument because your fanboy eyes see it that way. there were 5 reasons, with one outstanding, consistent argument but you picked one that suits your agenda.
EVERY multiplayer focused game must be priced lower than a normal SP / SP + MP game. that argument is long standing but hey your green eyes with tiny "X" signs in the middle will completely glide over that.
read the article.
EA force the devs at DICE to make a single player portion in Battlefield games so they can charge $60.
people always mentioned how they wanted to pay less for CoD because they only play MP.
the article talks about this "MP-only" debate which has gone on forever, regardless of game or platform so stop being such a fanboy, you look silly. oh and read the article next time.
games should not be $60 (€70 for us in Europe) in the first place.
with that said, that argument is weak as the amount of effort put into making a good single player in most cases is far more than the effort put into a good multiplayer.
the team utilised for the single player portion of a game is almost always much larger than the dudes handling the multiplayer portion. that is why Respawn can get away with working with such a small team, as it's an MP fo...
if people really think PS4 games will land up on PSNow before a new Sony console arrives (i.e. PS5) or before a significant amount of time has elapsed (5 years AT LEAST) then LOL good luck xx
if you notice carefully like half of the really big news stories on N4G come from dualshockers.
they're just first to the gun, somehow.
be gone Nintendo fanboy, be gone!
well, the whole reason why this game is exclusive in the first place is because Microsoft offered unmatched cloud technology that could help aid in creating excellent AI. way to dig a deep hole for yourselves Microsoft.
I'd say Project Cars screenshots look miles better, they're breathtaking but, Driveclub blows me away when I see the videos of realtime gameplay. it's just so gorgeous, and will probably take the crown for best enviromnments in any game, ever.
there's quite a gulf between gameplay videos and screenshots for Project Cars, it's quite weird...
I know right? this is a whole new low for Microsoft, I knew Microsoft played dirty tactics but never thought they'd go this low. the success of Call of Duty can attributed to both fanbases, so naturally both fanbases should be awarded with this competition.
DEFINITELY not buying Call of Duty or Microsoft console ever again that's for sure.
I'd consider it if they improved on those 1980s combat mechanics. I've honestly never seen mechanics that bad in - forever.
but with Dark Souls II, FFX|X-2 HD, FFXV, KH:Remix 2.5, The Witcher 3, Persona 5 and maybe a few other indie RPGs all coming up yeah you can keep it Bugthesda
the oceans that cover this magnificent earth will vapourize and nothing will be left, all this from the sheer anger and rage of Nintendo fanboys when the PS4 & X1 inevitably overtake the Wii U in sales just take a look at these comments, or any other comment section regarding Wii U sales. absolutely incredible
how does one go about spinning the Wii U's bad sales into good news?
is it not perfroming poorly, or? I can't believe just how much Nintendo fans don't want to acknowledge this fact. like the article rightly points out the recent successes of the Xbox One & PS4 highlight just how badly it's doing. what more do you want the article author to do?
@ziggurcat
figuring things out for yourself only works when the game allows you to experiment. in the opening 0hrs-30hrs souls are very difficult to come by, and when things are as poorly explained as the different stats that can be levelled up (faith, vitality, strength etc.) it just becomes a very frustrating experience. you keep dying, losing souls at the same time while everything is expensive in the beginning. being more coherent in explaining things for newcomers can on...
tbf the difference in market cap/share price is more to do with Sony underachieving than Nintendo being a beastly company. Nintendo revenue/profits are hardly anything to boast about.
I'd say that Nintendo definitely aren't out of the woods yet. Wii U is still performing poorly while Wii's success was a fluke. before that Gamecube didn't do to hot either however it was a very up-to-standard piece of hardware. I'm not saying Nintendo is doomed, no their imm...
a game needs both, one can drive the other but personally for me
gameplay >>>>> presentation > story
if I wanted a good story I'd turn the TV on and watch a good TV show. also think that the older you get the more you appreciate story over gameplay as the reflexes/motor skills start to go out the window.
but preferably both, good gameplay and a good story.
the 360 version is apparently being done by another studio.
quite incredible how people don't see (or choose to ignore) the striking similarities between Dark Souls & deep down idegi man these two games look very similar
