Love it! I love the sound from the plugged-in earbuds, but sound quality does drop through compression/uncompression with Bluetooth. My home theater receiver accepts Bluetooth, and it's more convenient than I ever thought it would be to have my Walkman play my songs wirelessly from the sofa.
I've already had evenings where we have a few drinks, and listen to some music with friends, and it's great to pass my player around for the next person to pick their tune.
...
What about Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty?
It may not be a game you go pick up at a "brick & mortar" store, but I've had TONS of fun with Bionic Commando, and that was just a PSN game too.
As far as I know, I believe R&C will be out this week.
Another awesome update from Dylan & the crew. I haven't played it in months, but I'll definitely put in some more hours now.
In-game music
Trophies
Training tutorials (the flight one will come in handy for me)
New paint schemes and insignias
And either a parachute, or JETPACK!!
There are still some bugs, but all in all the devs are really leading by example.
PS: GO SENS!
I like the Kenny vs. Spenny show, but this game just looks horrible.
I've been saying this for a while, but imagine a Trailer Park Boys (another Canadian comedy show, FYI) video game? They could pretty much make anything in there into a mission.
Stop the bottle kids,
Help protect the hashish driveway from Lahey,
Frame Cyrus to get him back in jail,
Clear out all of Ricky's dad's piss jugs from the park before the TV crew shows up to tape thei...
That is all.
Virtual muggings!
"Gimme that custom t-shirt you bought, or I'll dance like an idiot around you for hours"
j/k.. that would suck. ;O)
Man, this looks great 'an all, but we've all heard about this for so long now, the anticipation almost hurts.
Home and LBP seem to be so far off in the distance.. I hope we can be pleasantly surprised one day, and get these games AHEAD of schedule.
It's just wishful thinking though, not likely reality.
Since the "Gerstmann-gate" incident, it's just brought to light the way our once favorite gaming review sites do business nowadays.
I certainly don't believe that Gamespot is the only site that lets advertising dollars (or Euros for all of you across the ocean) sway their review scores, but they're the ones that got caught red-handed so to speak.
Thanks to this whole mess, they've opened up a lot of people's eyes (including myself) that the gaming ind...
"Hopefully, Nintendo will put and end to that and demand better quality from its 3rd party supporters."
Apparently, the guys who made Anubis 2 weren't sent back to the drawing board.. if there was one game that sounds like it should have been scrapped, it's that one.
For those of you that missed it, Gamespot's Anubis 2 review was worth the read. One of the funniest game reviews I've seen.
.. I totally agree with you. Zeppelin is forever!
The picture chosen for this article says it all.
Jeez.. another delay? Surprise, surprise.
This was THE game I was waiting for between now and X-mas.
This was THE game that made the GTAIV delay easier to swallow.
Wow, so was this the BIG BANG everyone keeps speculating on? Well, it's a BIG BOOT to the face for sure.
LOL
I was just going to say the same thing about Warhawk.
Yup, it's not such a bad thing for the console gamers. Most would be like lambs led to the slaughter! I'm happy to be able to re-learn UT on the console with everyone else.
We'll still have mods too, so all in all, this may be my personal most-anticipated game of 2007.
I'm still on the fence if I'm going to get Skate or THPG, but Folklore's demo was fun, so I may get this one. Eye of Judgment and R&C I think will be keepers.
Cool. Thanks for answering my question everyone!
It really cleared things up. I check this site almost daily, so I'm sure I'll be on top of the open beta whenever it gets announced.
Nowhere in Phil Harrison's quote does he mention that all PS3 owners will be able to participate in the open beta like the contributor stated in the article's summary. I'm definitely a noob when it comes to beta testing, and I'm sure others don't quite have a good understanding of what that term means as well though.
Would someone please explain the term "open beta"? Is it really a way that anyone who wants to join-in on the testing, can? Will you still have to get an invite,...
Well, so far, the news out of TGS is the Dual Shock 3 (in 2008 for NA), and Home being delayed 'till 2008 as well. I'm pretty down about being Home-less 'till next year, but MGS released in 2007 would be a nice surprise. I'm not counting on it though.
At the rate that games keep being pushed back, let's consider ourselves lucky if we see MGS by this time next year. But, if R&C, UT3 and Uncharted stick to the release schedule, that'll definitely keep me happy 'till next year. (espec...
I can't wait to try this one out.
I can live with a game that has a main story of only 10 hrs, (I'd like a great game to last longer of course) but they can still have some replayability in the form of unlockables, or playing the storyline a 2nd time with all of your acquired equipment from the first time through.
Those would be some easy fixes that would keep people playing a little longer, and make this game a must-buy, instead of maybe a must-rent.
Alright, I never realised it was THIS expensive! The article says the console was $650, and games were $200. The console was launched in 1990, and so I wondered what the equivalent in 2007 dollars would be..
http://inflationdata.com/in...
I used Jan 1990 compared to Jan 2007: 58.88% inflation rate.
The equivalent of buying a console costing $650 in 19...
Pretty cool that they'll have some Tool in GH, but I just can't bring myself to buying into this type of game.
My livingroom is cluttered enough as it is, I don't need any plastic video game peripherals making things worse than they already are. I'll keep my real guitar there instead thanks.
