The last paragraph of the article says the game still looks good, but the trailers for it could show more variety of what The Last of Us as a world of people and places has to offer beyond gore in different dark corners of the forest
The article mentions the first game by the third paragraph and the trailers for it which were also gratuitous. The headline is lmeant to provoke the question/topic that will be answered in the article. It seems no one in this thread even tried to read it. It’s literally a response to other articles ABOUT the violence in the game as it relates to the overall context of the Last of Us world
If you read the piece, it gives you all the context you need for this question.
The piece actually does not say the game pushed it too far. It asks the question if it possibly could have for some. It’s a thought exercise. Not a condemnation.
The piece actually says that
wow... Just like Nintendo to have the capability built into a device and then try to sell people on why they don't use it.
man... Another Switch game on the wrong side of a 7
It's crazy after all those development diaries this turned into something no one could see coming
I did the main mission and the strike and played a few rounds of the multiplayer and then I was done with the beta. Like, I hope the gameplay loop for the regular game is much better than what was shown. It would be easier to know or comment on it... ya know, if the beta gave us any clue to what that would be like. lol
haha with 3DS sitting at number 1. Jesus, how did the PS4 number get so high.
Man, such a shame about the game's dialogue slowing things down so far that it impacted the experience. You always want to game to be enhanced by dialogue not turned into a slog because of it.
If I were a kid, I would be a squid all the time... WOOOMMMYYYY
Cant wait to try this out when I get home.
Finally, a release window after the initial unveil so many years ago!
The list dismisses the notion any of the conferences were bad in the first paragraph. The "worst" is still a good conference with technical issues. Maybe no is freaking out because it's just a reasonable list?
I do like the game. I just like it differently and the pathfinder story is appealing, but it's not as good I don't think.
The only game in that list I haven't played is Ni-Oh. And while I enjoyed both Ratchet and UC4 a great bit, I can't put them above Horizon. While they're linear games with fun, interesting combat, I think GG took some of the insanity of the weapons from Insomniac and the visual storytelling from Naughty Dog to craft a really fun game. I think we can agree all three games are really stellar entries over the course of the last year for the PS4 though
It is only because I have never played Bloodborne that I cannot say this. The people who love that game seem to genuinely love it as much as I love Horizon. So I would call them 1A and 1B in terms of best games on PS4 overall. I like Horizon a fair bit more than I liked the grind of The Witcher 3 as well.
I took a couple like that... I have a good amount of them honestly... A lot like the atmospheric effect you have as well. I've been thinking of putting a gallery together.
Here is one I took: http://imgur.com/8nqQIeY
Asking a question is not the equivalent of castrating oneself or others... goodness
