Yup not surprised, in all of microsoft's advertisement they act like that the original xbox one does not exist anymore, it's all about 4k now and they keep saying best played on xbox, but the xbox is 900p machine.

Well we've seen amazing trailers of games before but the actual game sucked.

Yup it's scripted, enemies are scripted to behave a certain way base on the character's and other enemies' position, unlike other games enemies are scripted to just shoot evade hide shoot again until the player dies.
For me it's the clunky melee combat that puts me off, so I just use magic or bows in skyrim.
The only reason I can think of why they can't make third person work is they wanted it to be playable in vr.

At first I thought it's way too scripted, but I remembered playing TLOU at grounded difficulty, I played so carefully perfect camera angles was necessary to make sure I'm not surrounded and I remember having playthroughs which are picture perfect you would think I directed my play through
