I honestly think 0% will be sold through epic if they did not make a deal like this. There will be no competition happening if games are available on both platforms everybody will just buy the games on steam.
So basically they are selling an incomplete game, and they will make additional contents based on sales, if sales are not enough they'll just stop making those additional contents, nice strategy indeed they don't have to worry about loss.

Completely agree xbox game library sucks so much xbox gamers tends too play the same game for over 10000 hours until a new worthwhile game comes out. repetitive actions helped a lot in improving their reaction time.

I think it will be worse than you think it is going to be, next gen will just be this gen's quality graphics @ native 4k resolution.
devs will have to choose between graphics effects etc. and resolution.
people are expecting native 4k next gen, 1080p to 4k is a big leap unlike last gen's 720p to 1080p.
