It's because big name titles like Call of Duty are killing any kind of innovation in the industy. It's really all about appealing to the lowest common denominator to get more money. Just look at the games on next-gen, they're all shockingly similar.
Killzone? Futuristic Call of Duty.
Titanfall? Call of Duty with Mechs.
Destiny? Call of Duty in space.
Halo 5? Don't even get me started.

To get all of the DLC at once, it costs about $60 for the car pack. That means you have to pay $120 if you want the whole game.

EDIT: The PS4 version had less aliasing and less jaggies IMO. The difference is clear if you go to 4:10 and look in the distance.

A lot of the scenes I see look similar, but the difference is clear during the helicopter scene, as the sand particle effects and the fire are clearly better on the PS4.

I saw less aliasing and fewer jaggies when it comes to some of the high-demand scenes. Just because a scene is darker, doesn't mean it's better.
