ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL.
of my credit card.
Get a job, or don't buy DLC.
I've played plenty of games without DLC and most of the time the only reason I buy DLC is if I really like the game. Just because you don't get a special hat that they saved for DLC isn't going to ruin the experience... and if it does the game was bad to begin with.
It depends on the game, if you've got a solid single player with a bit of replay value through New Game+ or other things you don't need it. Uncharted 2 is a good example, great single player with quite a bit of replay, but does the multiplayer really NEED to be there? I've never played it once; however I do think some games can(if done right and not tacked on) really benefit from coop and/or multiplayer of some kind.
Just what Dead Space needs, tank controls!
Seriously though I think of DS as more of a Horror/Action game because it doesn't have the typical inept controls or lack of ways to fight back.
@saumer
It stems from the fact that most PC gamer elitists are childish babies, and ME was already light on the RPG so it was less of a surprise when ME2 came out. As much as people complain about sequels, that is all most people want, exact carbon copies of the game they fell in love with.
I'm 12 hours in on DA2 and yeah it's not Origins but its still fun and honestly Nightmare is twice as hard on DA2 as it was on Origins which I think scares a lot of PC gam...
You beat me to it by one minute lol
This is only for the seizure of Sony's consoles, the patent battle is still ongoing. As far as the fine goes LG has billions so it's not really a big hit. I'm really not even sure why LG wanted to seize the consoles anyway, other than to annoy Sony.
Online has nothing to do with it, if I could play coop on RPGs and many other games I'd be a happy gamer. Playing games with friends is half the fun for a lot of people. It just so happens CoD is the easiest to coax friends in with.
I really wish Bioware would stop taking so much away from it's sequels, I love streamlined content but it gets to a point where it doesn't feel like an RPG should anymore.
Regardless it's a day one buy, but I'd love it if they stop neutering the things that make games like Dragon Age Origins fun and complex.
Favorite moment was when the two Gardens were battling and you are running and the scene pulls back and you see hundreds of people fighting in some pretty sweet CG.
Oh man a WRPG in a Western setting like Red Dead Redemption!
Do want.
"The blight (enemies) has been worked on and their armor and skin look more realistic than the last game."
I don't know about more "realistic" I'm pretty sure they drastically changed the look of the Darkspawn more because up close they really just looked like Orcs in Origins.
I'm agreeing just because 8 has always been my favorite and most people hate it for some reason.
Different strokes, different folks, I guess.
Yeah Lost Odyssey so far as been the JRPG that I've enjoyed most this gen. I never played Nier though, people say that one is good as well.
I've lost a lot of the nostalgia for JRPG's it started after FFIX, I've played many jrpgs since then and they just never lit that old spark like they used to.
I think its the contrite nature of the story telling, it seems to absorbed around minutia instead of a big over arching plot. On top of that, while FFXIII looks good it was just too damn long with very little forward momentum, I was 20 hours in and still feeling lost story wise and just gave up.
...
That was pretty clear sarcasm my friend.
Seeing as this article centers around Darksiders. I feel the need to add that it is a lot of fun and its a nice offshoot with a Zelda experience.
Yeah I was annoyed after I played the PC demo with a nice auto attack feature and found it not present on the 360 demo...
I don't want to press A 5,000 times to kill things I want to chose a target and unleash some cool looking auto attack combos, which I really do like that they added, makes combat feel less stale.
Yeah like in the beginning level where you fire the mounted weapon that shoots what appears to be giant white sheets of paper, totally solid.
oh and you can't forget all the KY jelly they smeared on textures to pretend like its not a 6 year old engine with the same death animations.
Never makes sense to me how people can be against co-op play as long as it doesn't some how interfere with the single player experience.
Some people enjoy playing games with a friend, if it could be done in more RPGs it would add a whole new aspect to them, as long as it's not just tacked on.
Is this a heavily instanced game?
