it only takes 1 great game to get someone to buy a new system. More games will come obviously that make the purchase worth it, but you buy it to play that 1 must-have game.

Everyone talks about Sega not having any money, yet they just purchased Atlus for $200 million. If they can fund a new Yakuza every 2-3 years, it's entirely possible for them to do Shenmue 3.
It's not an issue about Sega not having enough money to produce it, it's about whether the game will bring in profits for Sega. What they need to do is make an HD collection and gauge its sales to see if there is interest for part 3.

Sony has no need to show all their cards when the PS4 is selling out everywhere. Most of their 1st party developers are working on unannounced projects, you think they are just sitting on their hands?
Don't get me wrong, MS also has unannounced games, it doesn't make sense to reveal stuff early since game development is an iterative process and things change constantly during development.
I hope the reviews are spoiler free.
