i agree with your bit about dlc killing unlocks.. it's true 100%. unlockable stuff now is something from the past.

now this is difficult, coz mass effect 1 and 2, uncharted2, assassins creed2, gears1 and dragon age have been superb games..
but another thing to remember is....this gen aint finished yet
the cod engine is nothing special! it does 60fps thats it! they have been using the same engine since cod2, and only optimised it marginally each year.
i think the author needs to get a clue, to see a significant graphical improvement, cod needs a new engine!
there is only so much they can do with the current one
the r2 for shooting. i passed on MAG after the demo when i saw that they had used r1 instead.
i especially bought a xbattle adaptor and wired 360 pad because i expected resistance2 and MAG to use r2, only to be left disappointed!
for me it's the opposite, most shooters that use r1 dont get bought!
