This is a pretty good score, for all of the "Flop" talk about this game. I really hope Too Human succeeds, we need more Canadian developers:P
If anything, I think all the time and money that went into that game would make the critics tear the game a new orifice, rather than the tame(by comparison) slapping it's been getting. But we'll see, this seems to be a love-it-or-hate-it game.
That's cool man, if you enjoy the game then that's all that matters. Unfortunately I foresee these articles being flooded with insults soon(even worse than it already is.)
Resistance: Fall of Man was a launch title, so of course its graphics aren't going to be on the level of Gears of War(which really set the bar for other games at the time). However many people will disagree with you on its gameplay not being anything special. In my opinion(just an opinion) it's one of the most fun fps' I've played in years, it really brought back the feeling that the first Halo gave me. It wasn't revolutionary or genre defining(except for 40 player multiplayer on a console ga...
Exactly. I still feel that there is a lot of potential in Too Human, I hope it does well, so that we can get more.
So...an extra 3-5 hours of co-op, and 8 player multiplayer...riiiiight. You have to judge each game on it's own merits. For a shooter, Gears of War had a horrifically short campaign and below-par multiplayer, but the gameplay was solid and the graphics were out of this world, so it's more than passable. Heavenly Sword is an action game, meant to be more like a summer blockbuster movie, not awfully long but with lots of action and entertainment crammed it, and it sported some of the greatest m...
That's because Ted Price knows that Insomniac is making a good game, and doesn't feel the need to shout it from the rooftops, because he knows that the fans will buy it.
It isn't really a matter of whether a game is 3rd party or 1st party, quality exclusives in general are what matter the most. I mean, look at MGS4, that game has moved hundreds of thousands of consoles and it's a 3rd party. But notable 3rd party support is dwindling dramatically, and when it becomes even more nonexistant than it already is, then Sony will be in a much more attractive position than Microsoft.
Edit: Yeah I see your point, unique games sell more consoles than samey...
He's not saying the 360 is dieing, the article is actually quite optimistic about the 360.
Oh hush up man, what about Braid? Geometry Wars 2? The 360 has had quite a few good games this year, take it to the open zone.
Heavenly Sword is NOT a flop, it's gotten an 81% on Gamerankings and 79 on Metacritic, which is around what Ninja Gaiden 2 got, and I don't see anyone running around touting that as a flop, not to mention Heavenly Sword wasn't accused of unintuitive controls and bad level design. As for Resistance 2, if it is half as good as the first it will most certainly not be a flop. And as for Too Human not being hyped as a AAA title, just ask everyone who was saying "Too Human is amazing, anyone w...
I think the PS3 and 360 are about equal in flops, the PS3 had Lair and Haze(which have some really strong fans who really enjoy them, which is cool) and the 360 had Two Worlds(same as Lair and Haze) and Too Human(we don't quite know yet) So take it to the open zone buddy.
EDIT: @ Action Bastard, Kameo and Viva Pinata were recieved pretty well though, so they can't really be considered flops. I personally thought they were quite good, but I'm not everyone I suppose.

Amen, The Longest Journey and Dreamfall are two of the greatest games ever made in my opinion, when it comes to story. Particularly in Dreamfall, when *SPOILER* Faith goes to sleep on Zoe, and asks if she'll be waiting, and then disappears, was extremely emotional.
I thought the PS3 outsold the 360 by about 3 million units, since Sony reported that it had sold around 10 million and MS reported that they had sold around 17 million in total(7 million that year, around 10 the first). Either way, kudos to Sony for turning around the PS3, and kudos to MS for putting up one hell of a fight(competition is better for the consumer:))
I'm not so sure about that, August looks promising for the 360, with a full month of discounted 360's and Too Human being released. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Didn't the PS3 outsell the 360 in June as well? So that's 6 out of 7 months. I'm interested in how the holiday season turns out though, with LittleBigPlanet and Gears 2.
Well we can pretty much customize everything else, so we should be able to fiddle with the ghosts as much as we want. You could recreate the Star Wars scene with the Force ghosts of Anakin and Obi-wan, only they would look more...toast shaped.:O "Use the Popit, Sackboy."
Yeah, the Corvettes are getting crazy quick now, but I'm a massive Ferrari fanboy at heart, and to me the F430 is just, the perfect car. But to each his own, there are enough brilliant cars in this world for everyone to like some.:)
Haha, I think he was kidding:P Unless you were too, which now makes me look like a complete tool. The best line of the article is "Thank goodness the image was proven false. I would hate to have an option for storage that made sense."
P.S. Ferrari F430 > Z06. Just Kidding:P
It wasn't so much the eyes that stuck out, it was the mouth and lips and teeth that really looked weird, to me at least. But still, this is quite impressive.
