I like to use opencritic more than metacritic because of the ability to choose which web site or magazine can affect the overall scores.

No way the Edge magazine will give god of war a 10 or even 9. They give high scores only for innovative games and Nintendo games.
And you will see. They will give Nintendo labo a perfect score.

i got my copy today and i played it for more than 1 hour. I assure you , no one will be disappointed.
the game is absolute monster.
a real contender to be a game of generation. no question about this.

I have ps4pro and 4k HDR TV and I can confirm it is jaw dropping game. The image quality is very crisp. Even sharper than HZD.
The ps4 pro's fan is working at high speed and very loud.
The game is pushing the machine to its maximum.

i want digital foundry to compare the best looking games on ps4 pro with the best looking games on the xbox1x.
i am sure there will be no game on the X that can match Horizon Zero dawn , Uncharted 4 , Uncharted the lost legacy and god of war.

i have no problem with the checkerboard rendering tech.
actually games that use this tech look very good on 4k tv.

i m not here to prove that the ps4 pro is as capable as the xbox1x !!
sure , the xbox1x is a more powerfull console. no question about that.
i only want to say that when the checkboard rendering technique used properly , it can produce great results.

Beside , if you have a ps4 pro , you will know that these artifacts are difficult to be seen unless you are setting very near to you 4k tv.

xbox1x : higher resolution , better shadows , better AA.
ps4 pro : sharper image quality , VR support.

just forget about the ps5 and enjoy the upcoming games.

you are right about the witcher 3. it is one of the few 3rd party games that use the checkerboard. and i like how it look like on the ps4 pro.
though , i disagree with you with hellblade and metal gear solid 5. both of these games are only 1440p.

how many third party games that look as awesome on 4k tv as Horizon , GT sport , ratchet and clanck and shadow of the colossuss then ?

ps4 pro is essential purchase only if you like sony's first and second party games. 3rd party devs do not use the ps4 pro specs properly.
