Allot of music is now being reissued in the dual format of SACD and CD anybody that has an SACD Player like the PS3 will get he benefits of HD Audio.
SACD doesn't sample data like CD so doesn't need upsampling, it's bitstream (1bit) technology and works works fine on the PS3.
SACD = High Definition, High End Technology for Audio,
This is why the PS3 in some circles is considered a bargain, it does what ALL CURRENT High End SACD/CD Players do, most of these players can cost up to 20x the cost of the PS3.

This footage just blew me away, I can't believe there is so much happening on the screen at the same time, especially the sky, and the level of detail is amazing.

I can relate something similar from the Hi-Fi world. Kenwood at one stage controlled close to over 50% of the Hi-Fi market in certain areas, back then most of their stuff was made in Japan, was very innovative, reliable and sounded great. For some reason they decided to cut costs and started to make their gear in Malaysia, Philippines etc.
