"Calling the Switch itself a scam is vastly unfair and downright silly. Their online service, yes is terrible compared the their rivals."
Well charging for online is a scam but he unfortunately left out the part where he is willing to be scammed if its for a different platforms benefit.
"How many people said Skyward Sword outdid any previous 3D Zelda game?"
A lot surprisingly. It's not hard to find people who'll say its their favorite installment.
@Snookies12
"You are joking, right...?"
It's hard to look forward to a remake thats turning the first 5 hours of the original into a full game and then when we ask "so how long until you finish remaking the whole game?" we can't get an answer. If you're buying the FF7R ask yourself how long you'll be waiting for episode 2+ and whether it'd be better to wait for those to also come out first and then play them all tog...
Call me crazy but it wouldn't influence my vote in the slightest.
Not gaming news. Twitch has more than just gaming content on there so its like saying hes doing a youtube stream and trying to link it to gaming.
Once you see it you can't unsee it.
I don't think Nintendo is the sort that'd be willing to put a team to work on a rivals console. We're not even sure if MS is willing to do that yet.
I say put Rare to work on a SP platformer thats a new IP and see what they come up with. Give them the same sort of freedom MS is claiming to be giving to their new studios and I'm sure the studio will come up with something great.
If the narrative you're pushing is true why was everyone years ago saying to buy The Witcher 3 through GoG? Because at launch I believe if you pre-ordered on GoG you got the Witcher 1 and 2 for free and everyone was saying to buy it there instead of Steam. Why have we not seen this outrage with Origin or Battle.net? We didn't even see this backlash to the Uplay launcher which has been trash ever since it launched.
I'm sure there are a very small number of people...
But that's not what you're doing. No one has any issue with you creating your own launcher and releasing your own games exclusively on that client like most other large studios do. People take issue to you trying to buy up the market so that for a period of time we can only play it through that one client. It's not real competition because no one actually wants to use your client over steam when they're given a choice. Introduce features that Steam has and make us want to buy...
@SierraGuy
Are those relevant to the discussion? If so why?
"they have more then 50% market share. so what they should do to make an impact? to have 99%? 100%?"
If Sony is now saying they have 700k subscribers and Phil Spencer is claiming to have 'millions and millions' (so atleast 2 million I guess?) in XGP then it suggests that the data we were provided with was either heavily skewed or is now outdated. I have to admit when I originally saw the report I was surprised because I couldn't see how EA Access held ...
"Is risky to make a game like Death Stranding"
If Death Stranding is a risk then every game MS has ever made is a risk. The game was being hyped before we even knew the title. If it's made by Kojima then it's instantly going to get free publicity based on that fact alone.
Risky games don't get hyped before they've been revealed.
@OzzY-waZZy
"Because the design looks like a clear Overwatch rip?"
I'm a prophet! Check further down in the comments and you'll see I predicted this sort of argument. Overwatch was not the first game to have this art style but why is it a negative for a game to look visually similar to Overwatch? The characters definitely don't look like the copies that we'd see in Battleborn or Paladins, and the gameplay is definitely different ...
I mean it's basically trying it out for pennies because if you play it for 30 mins and instantly know it's not for you theres another 100+ games for you to spend some time with for the next month so there's no excuses to not try it out at the very least.
It's a difficult thing to nail down in games like this. I think they're trying to avoid what happened with Battleborn/Overwatch and LoL/Dota 2 where there's a suspicious amount of overlap in hero designs.
If they had a stereotypical dwarf with a turret for example they'd be bombarded with criticism about how unoriginal the designs are and dismissed as an Overwatch clone.
@Thundercat77
Care to elaborate?
Love it when an article asks a stupid a stupid question in the title and then gives an obvious answer that has no nuance and makes you feel like they just wasted your time...
Is it difficult to believe someone could have different tastes to you?
