Some Developers where waiting for the holidays before making Kinect games or to use Kinect for standard games. The people wanting and hoping for Kinect failure made developers cautious and convinced the the industry Kinect would fail.
GT5 feels bad it's not on the same level as Forza. Going around a corner fast in GT5 and breaking too long and you're at a complete stop instantly? Or you accelerate to high speeds unrealistically fast and spin out of control with PS2ish momentum and inertia physics. In in 10 months the comparisons will be between Forza 3 vs Forza 4 so fighting over a game with a 84 average is pointless.

If you wan't to call GT5 a Sim I find the way the game plays more like average arcade racers. GT5 feels bad. I like the realistic physics and handling of Forza. Yes the 360 will output 1080p with component hookups if the TV is designed to do full HD through component. My Samsung does this the brand is known for this and they have been making HDTVs like this for years. 1/4 of the people on my friends list have Kinect. Just another gaming option it's as simple as that it's not the end of the world. I see Kinect revenue revitalizing the industry bringing in new gamers and money sources allowing developers to ration the success any way they see fit with more Kinect motion games or standard controller games. I think fanboyism play a part in this paranoia no one in their right mind would see a optional alternative method of gaming as bad.

The PC showing what is possible with Kinect is not a very effective way of downplaying Kinect or the 360. What Kinect can do now and will do in the future will always be developed on PC just like other peripherals or games.
