First they need to find someone who has a large amount of old unused chips that they can buy for cheap.
I am PS first but I am glad they don't waste resources on VR. Maybe I am just old school. I like play the games the way they are until VR feels like putting on some sunglasses and be fully emerged.
Did they remove the content from something you have backed up locally? I've backups from all my digital purchases. Practically same as physical. When you buy physical, the backup is basically the disc you buy. When you buy digital, I have to do the "backup" myself.
I wish I had the space to collect games but I live in a small flat. Also with digital my siblings can play the games I buy wherever they live.
I wish Sony would create more (game) themed controllers that actually look good and not just a sticker here and there.
If you are not the type that needs multiple PS5 games installed at the same time or are not bothered to move PS5 games to the internal drive or don't worry about the usage of the internal drive, then you can save the bucks to buy a SSD and just continue to enjoy the console your way. Nothing wrong with that.
Time to increase the prices for all the original PS5s I still have in stock. Thank you, Sony :D
I still have the original Final Fantasy VII factory sealed for the PS1.
I've seen a quick test on YT showing the use of a lower speed ssd and it worked fine (with Ratchet). Hopefully we will be allowed to use lower speed ssds and the game will decide whether it has to be installed on expansion or internal.
The power of 15W! :D
They removed the extra SSD slot :DDDDD
You assume that everyone is going to buy a new high end TV that has XBOX console included? The standalone console will not go away. The XBOX hardware won't be built in into all TVs plus there are gamers who like to take their consoles on travels or to friends to play together.
This is a nice option to have but I am mostly looking forward to see all their exclusive games after their big acquisition even though I only have the PS5.
Sure. Could happen. At the end of PS5 lifecycle you probably have more exclusive titles than on PS4...
I am glad I never invested in a digital movie library there. :D
I wouldn't mind if they do. I mean we have Series S. If they could do a portable that can do 720p with at least 30fps for every game that comes out on PS5 or is currently available on PS4 + cross game save obviously it would be somewhat like a Switch Lite on steroids. I think the idea of being able to continue playing your games on the go without internet connection required works for Nintendo. If you provide access to a catalog of games first (PS4+PS5) you are not forced to do exclusives...
It very much depends on each individual. It could be yes or no.
With this argument you are obviously not the customer they are targeting. Some players might be totally ok with the storage size. They play a few games at a time. Maybe 2 or 3. Maybe they don't need the convenience of having a lot of titles installed and ready to play. They play just the few titles and when bored with it, remove it from the drive and install a new one.
If its not $499 for the PS5 for the disc version than MS will have the upper hand the upcoming gen. Price matters. Sony should know that.
Sony: That's pretty cool... but have you heard of our new light blue Controller? :D
