If EA failed by giving us great new IPs like Dead Space and Mirror's edge, then I hope the company "fails" again in the next generation.
Last gen, I probably had 2 EA games, this gen I have 11 EA games. All of which have been either really good or brilliant.
Although, I would like a Mirror's Edge 2...
There are still quite a few custom games, but unfortunatly 99% are all 1 hit kills. Thats ashame because I prefer playing proper matches, but only the gamers have the power to change it.
If they announce the Halo CE remake, then I hope it comes out at the beginning of 2012, just to space things out a bit. With the likes of MW3 and BF3 as the main Christmas shooters, it would be unwise to release Halo at the same time.
Anyways, I just hope to see some more first party exclusives and not just aload of Kinect shovelware.
I'm hoping Sony does the same, exclusive coverage will be great.
My personal favourites in ranking order:
1) Gamecube
2) Dualshock 3
3) Xbox 360
The Dualshock would be the best if its left analogue stick was swapped around with the D-pad imo.
I wonder what the new features will be? enhanced lag perhaps? even worse hit detection?
Its just ashame this game will sell like hotcakes. Kottick could sell a shiny turd and slap the MW3 label on it and it would sell out.
Microsoft really need more first party studios, because only having a few isn't enough.
The last guidebook I bought was for Pokémon Diamond/Pearl; before that - Resident Evil 4 and Final Fantasy X-2. So yeah, not for a long time.
MW2 was £25 at Morrisons at launch, if I recall.
£55 for a game is just day light robbery, especially for a COD.
Yes but its good compared to what it used to be, because before it was a complete rip off imo.
I like the title "BELOW £100", yeah, by a penny. Still, thats a good price for the Wii, wspecually with Mario Kart.
God damn Batarians, they got what was coming to them. :P
The world ending tomorrow? I guess that means I don't have to work tomorrow. :P
but in all seriousness, this is all complete crap, as it this 2012 nonsense, but I'm sure we're all going to have a big end of the world party just in case.
I still play GTAIV every now and again, just for a laugh.
I'm currently playing Reach and just trying to rank up, and I've been playing some Gears 3 beta aswell.
I downloaded the demo and I enjoyed it. I haven't played a Lego game since the first Star Wars game on the PS2.
I saw the 4th film a couple of days ago and enjoyed it.
Fortunatly I don't have Dead Nation or Wipeout, so I'll download those two for the PS3. As for the PSP, I'll download LBP and Modnation Racers. ^_^
Each to their own, I personally enjoyed (and am still enjoying) this gen the most. I've never bought as many games in a generation as I have in the current one. I still have very fond memories of previous generations i.e. the PS1, the SNES, the Gamecube etc, but for me, the consoles with the best games have been this gen.
In order to succeed with ME, it will need lots of hardcore games, a much better online infrastructure - ditching those friend codes for a start, having top notch graphics and physics, have plenty of third party support, new IPs and of course, having the classic Ninty games. Oh, and better multimedia functions i.e. Blu-ray playback etc.
I'm hoping for new exclusives and IPs, but I fear most of their offerings will be Kinect shovelware. ¬_¬
I don't quite know how anyone can disagree with the fact that most custom games are 1 hit kills. Its a stone cold FACT.
Also, Mutley, I live in Somerset too and its one of my favourite maps.
