Increasing the GPU speed is good, but I'm concerned that the console is coming out in 3 months time and it appears as though the specs still haven't been finalised, not to mention over-clocking the system could cause overheating issues...
I feel the need...the need for speed!
PS Plus gave me a massive backlog, so I've been spending all summer trying to play most of them before the PS4 comes out, or at least until GTAV comes out.
I'm doing pretty well actually, just playing Infamous 2 from Plus and loving it so far.
As far as I know TLOU's engine can be optimised for next-gen. Naughty Dog always push the boundaries of what can be done on a console, so I'm not concerned in the slightest. Infact, I'm very optimistic and I hope to see their new project soon. My money is on Savage Starlight.
A dead body that you don't have to download and can sell if you want.
Physical media ftw!
Why would they be the same? it's ultimately the exclusives that separate them. Just like the exclusives set the PS3 and the 360 aside.
"What I don't like in the games industry today is that there are too many opportunists who are there to make money," he said.
The irony made me chuckle.
I wasn't really interested in this game until earlier today when I watched a couple of videos, one of which was the big IGN reveal and I'm totally sold now.
Yeah, the only real Xbox stronghold in Europe was the UK, but UK gamers tend to buy whatever console has the most games and is cheaper and at the time that was the 360 at the beginning, but I think a lot of UK gamers have felt let down by the Xbox One unveiling.
I think the PS4 will enjoy PS2 levels of success in the UK. That said, the PS3 has done well in the UK.
iPhone and iPad edition.
Be more like KZ2 than KZ3 and you're on the right track.
Sony's daddy? not really.
When I say "big boys" I mean in terms of hardware power.
Nintendo made a big mistake. They should have competed with the big boys by making a powerful system, making a conventional controller as standard, ensuring a good supply of games, investing in new IPs, improving the online infrastructure and making a Pokémon MMO to utilise it, launching this year and they should have fired Iwata.
Oh and they shouldn't have called it the Wii U. Stupid name which didn't gel with consumers. Wii U just sounds like an accessory.
Not good news considering ASDA is Wallmart.
"We never had fanboy sh** like that during ps2,GC,xbox gen."
Um, yes we did.
That's what I like to hear.
It depends on the type of game. For game like Heavy Rain, realistic graphics are important, but for a platformer or a game that isn't about realism, then visuals take a back seat to the gameplay.
As long as you always have the option of free running and the soundtrack and art style remains the same then I'm sure we won't be disappointed.
That said, this is being published by EA, so we should be cautious.
Crash Bandicoot made by Sony (whether it be ND or another first party studio). Then my life will be complete.
Without sounding like a troll here, COD: Ghosts is probably the worst looking next-gen game right now.
When the COD series goes next-gen only and they invest in a new engine, only then will we be able to properly judge the graphics.
