People are deluded. They feel that just because they frantically and obsessively go out and buy every Halo, Metriod, Mario and Starcraft game in existence, that makes it automatically GOTY. Just because you can't see each version of it becoming more tedious and repetitive doesn't mean other people don't. Even if they made Halo 35 and Mario 80 people would still buy it and claim it's good. Now give me your disagrees, they give me power.

Everyone always gets mad because UC2 got 150 awards. All the things Kinect MIGHT or COULD be able to do and it still can't do games. All these extra features would be good if it was just an interface device but it's main purpose is gaming. Saying that it COULD help the deaf doesn't cancel out that the Kinect is a piece of crap. How long before these features are implemented? a year? two years? 10? If this is another attempt to make Kinect look good it's not working.
Rule 1: never agree with Omega about anything. He babbles on about nothing sensible. Also we are are only giving our opinion Kinect defenders. If you want to go through another 2-3 years of broken hardware with Microsoft constantly saying 'we'll fix it, we'll fix it' I have no qualms about it. But be assured that I will still be playing with my solid 10 year tempered Move Wand long after the first Kinect recall or mass repair drive by Microsoft.

Ignorant statements like 'Move is a WiiHD', and 'Kinect is better because it's new' are not very good reasons to buy or not buy something. 'Oh no, I need to buy two Move controllers so I can put another digital trophy on my wall, which automatically make the Kinect cheaper, more functional and viable in everyway'. So it's like seeing fairies. The lag will go away only if you believe with all your heart that it will. And as for it being for kids, people don't seem to understand that simple minded doesn't automatically equal for kids. Most kids have short attention spans. They may have fun with it in a store for 15 mins but if you bring it home how long do you think they will play it for? Games for kids need to be engaging not mindless. Good point. People forget that once the Move is actually available it could very well climb to the top. Counting easily cancelled preorders isn't the same as counting sales

I have listened to the man talk he never said once that Kinect will fail absolutely. He even said he was glad to see developers try new things. There are many videos showing it not working and sites talking about its non functionality. If their were videos showing it working then it would be divided. But all we have is the word from some game journalists and from Microsoft themselves of its functionality. Not much there to form a positive assessment.
