The article is basically saying that not many people want to play a hardcore game like Assassin's Creed for instance on a small screen. The article also brings up that most gamers would rather buy a game like Assassin's Creed on 360/PS3 in order to avoid the tacted on gimmicks the WiiU version will offer.
This article goes in...
Exactly. WiiU is the start of next gen and it being on par instead of being ahead of last gen is ridiculous, although Nintendo is not known for it's outstanding graphics anyway so it probably doesn't even matter.
And then when the PS4 and XBox720 releases Nintendo will be behind yet again assuming that those two consoles are released in 2013.
But if Sony and Microsoft stick to their 10 year console goal then we won't see those until 2015/2016 which would be enough time in my opinion for Nintendo to release another console to coincide with the PS4 and 720 releases.
Previews are almost always positive and then the actually review hits and you see a 6/10 which leaves you scratching your head, "in the previews you led me to believe the game was actually worth looking forward to."
The Wii U feels more like a slight a improvement than a new console in my opinion.
From what they've shown the graphics is either on par with the PS3 & 360 or slightly better. The only thing unique to the controller is the fact that you can use Wii accessories with it and that you can switch from playing a console game on a tv to playing on the controller. Everything else the PSV w/ PS3 can pretty much do unless I'm forgetting something.
Sony had nothing outside of PSV? Really?
Damn, Sony must have shown some pretty awful games then.
I'm being sarcastic, if you guys even know what that means...
@waseem335
I have no idea why people like you don't like when developers try to make the "da b3st grafixzzz evazzz."
I guess people really wouldn't mind if the graphics remained the way it was in the 80's
Outside of Wii U Nintendo had nothing...
It took Nintendo again?
Umm 3 things:
1. I guess Kinect didn't redefine gaming?
2. PS4 and Xbox 720 aren't even out yet.
3. The PSV can already do some of the things that the Wii U can and with a update to the PS3 it can very likely do everything the Wii U can do except it wouldn't be a console game and you wouldn't be able to use the PS Move and other PS accessories with it and the PSV would be fully PORTABLE...
Maybe we can have our for first tie for game of the year?
Nah, This vs Uncharted 3 for GOTY
Nobody cares about the story. Now, I'm not saying that I wouldn't want a great campaign, but if it sucks it doesn't matter as long as the multiplayer is great. This is why games sell despite lacking in the story department. It's because of the replay value that the MP brings.
What I find funny is that the PSV in combination with the PS3 could potentially work like the Wii U (if SONY adds a update to the PS3 that would allow it) except that the PS Move and other accessories wouldn't work with the PSV like the Wii mote does with the Wii U controller. This not a farfetched idea.
Yes! We get to see dat ass!
Lookin Good
Skyrim looks amazing and I'm not even a fan of the franchise, but I might just become one.
Yeah I'd like that too. I'd also prefer a detective approach in the modern era. Imagine in modern NYC as an NYPD police officer, that would be awesome.
I guess you wouldn't mind Jersey Noire, huh.
Bleach is such an overrated anime/manga...
Trolling trolls can be fun at times...
