Yeah but you lose your trophies, your ability to transfer downloaded games from PS3 to PSP and lose your online stats. I imagine it's frustrating.
No announcement is needed, it came at the end of the quest for Booty game. Either way it is great news though, the series is brilliant (though Quest for Booty was a little short, showing the series is better as a full game).
I don't want a drastic change to the series but a small one wouldn't be bad. It's not changed too much over the years. Brilliant series though, one of my favourites.
If 2.70 Firmware is what is expected, and the price comes down I very much expect Sony to do well. A lot of people out there like the PlayStation brand. The main problem is the price...
@ShinnokDrako...
HipHopGamer has no insider information. I haven't watched the video but like everything he says, it's just assumptions and speculation based on rumours he's no doubt got from N4G and similar sites.
He will no doubt have thought it because of Microsoft claiming FF13 will sell more on the 360.
Even if FFXIII gets exclusive DLC (something I very much doubt)...will it be the size of Versus?
I won't watch this show because it's pretty crap usually but I'd guess this assumption is purely because of Microsoft's arrogance about FF13.
The Wii isn't that good IMO. But the Genesis was awesome.
Sony need to advertise heavily because it would get a fair few software and hardware sales. Some of the Sony 1st Party titles this generation have been fantastic and I hope this continues. But people don't know unless they advertise.
The Wii won't ever impress me with graphics really. Developers could pull off some great things with it but it will never manage to compete with the other machines graphics-wise.
Sony have managed to lose so many exclusives, yet have so many left. Microsoft couldn't lose that many exclusives and remain standing with a few more.
Meanwhile PS3 fans can enjoy Dead Rising 2 when it is out, no doubt Lost Planet 2 and Bioshock 2, and to keep them occupied, Bioshock and Lost Planet.
Sony have got a number of great exclusives this generation. LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2 and Uncharted for example. Microsoft are really getting a little too arrogant her...
Pretty much expected. Personally I'd like a new game made by the same people. Even if it is very similar, at least it won't be a sequel. Obviously a sequel to such a brilliant game is nothing to moan abut, and there are many games where I would like sequels, but there are times I prefer new IP's.
However, c'mon Jak 4, MGS5 and Monkey Island 5. =D
Some MGS boss battles are needed here. Psycho Mantis (MGS), then the final boss battle of MGS4...
I've read of murders in the papers, people committing violent acts for no reason. I've seen wars started for no reason other than greed.
But it is the comments here, right here in this thread that makes me wonder how humanity has survived...
The only that that people need to worry about is that the console sells, not by how much. Developers aren't going to care if the 360 has sold 48 million and the Ps3 40 million some time in the future-the sales will warrant games being...
I really wouldn't get arrogant. Sony did for a while and it didn't help them. I'm thinking Sony are back on track and they know what they're doing. I congratulate Microsoft for the 360 sales, but at the same time look at the price difference. The fact that the PS3 can keep up shows a lot.
Personally I'm not a FF fan and though I think it would sell a lot of software and a fair amount of hardware, I'd say if it happened, it would be a symbolic thing more than anything else.
Oh my, 4 multi platforms and an expansion pack.I'm pretty sure Microsoft will have more up their sleeve than that. You'd hope so anyway because I seriously doubt that's the best of 2009 for 360 fans.

How do you come to that conclusion? It's not as though Halo Wars has slaughtered Sony. Killzone 2 sales and reviews are good and it's another reason for people to but a PS3 and with a good line-up this year more reasons will be added still. Microsoft can, and will compete but the sales of this game have no doubt done bugger all for the console wars. It is software sales, and the chances are since this is not the first Halo game on the 360, that it has only added to ...
Make it PS3 exclusive?!?! That would be ridiculous. I own the PS3 version but I wouldn't want it exclusive.
The PC version is best purely because of the modding scene and until console gamers can mod games in the way PC gamers do (talented ones of course) that it would be a bit of a stupid thing to do.
I disagree. I loved Cyrodiil and Vvardenfell but we've been there. I doubt you could fit so much on one disc without things being compromised. You'd need the 3rd world to have as much depth and detail as the other two.
On a side note, Morrowind was set in Vvardenfell, we only got to go to the actual land of Morrowind in the expansion-and only one city. S I wouldn't be totally against going to Morrowind.
Not a fan of their combat idea though. I'd like Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls to be different. I want actual combat, and I want the hunders of side quests.
Take the best parts from Morrowind, the best parts from Oblivion and add a small (very small) part of Fallout 3 in a different land and that's what I'd like.
Not sure about the multiple lands thing. Maybe 2 lands, but I'm not sure. Then one province would seem just a little too small to be at all realistic. 2 at mo...
If people are going to try to April Fools they might as well make one at least semi-believable.
