But you're still partially right, until we see 3rd party games booted up on both consoles with a side by side comparison, we don't know which will look better.
That wasn't really an issue when the PS3 with its "high" price came out. Granted it was offering numerous features for a competitive price compared to the rest of the market (albeit even if we did think it was expensive still). If MS can offer a comparative package with Project Scorpio, then that justification can be made. We still don't know the final price yet either so until anythings official, it's up in the air.

Wrong, it's common knowledge that the first gen of PS4s were louder then the current ones available today. I thought I had avoided that problem by waiting almost two years before I bought mine, I unfortunately didn't luck out (mine had the glossy face plate to boot). My buddy has the full matte unit and that thing doesn't make a peep, I couldn't believe how much better his ran over mine.

If you're in no rush to build your PC, buy your components over 5-6 months when they go on sale. You'll save a ridiculous amount of money. That's what I did with mine, any game I throw at it now I play it maxed out no problem. I've also future proofed it, only thing I'll ever need to upgrade for the next 4-5 years would be my graphics card. I even have it connected to my TV as well with an old Xbox 360 controller if I feel like gaming from the couch.

It's a shame, now that Activision has three studios making Call of Duty titles, they would've been in the perfect spot to have each studio work on a different time frame. Funny that the Scorpio coming out a year later means the "death" of the console. Funny when the PS3 came out a year after Xbox 360, it wasn't "such a big deal."
