I play COD or BF and the cheaters aren't even trying to hide it anymore. Go to the lobby and surprise 97% of them are PC players.

There are permanent upgrades available. Some are temporary and lost when you die. Others are not.
Finding the boss isn't the problem.
You make multiple subaccounts, just like PS4. PS5 has subaccounts. Your buddy can play on those. FFS
Not only that. The game does help you out. There are permanent upgrades that you get. AND, if you really suck, the monolith at the beginning of the game can be used to purchase upgrades as well.
People are just weird. I hope none of these people try to play Battletoads. All games used to give you "lives" and that was it. You started over. No saves, no respawns.
AND you can put the PS5 in rest mode to "save."

In the case of smaller devs it is true. They need the revenue. No Man's Sky is a perfect version of that. But, when large AAA houses like Activision and EA lay off workers after scoring record breaking financial quarters, then I have a problem.
