The author lied about the gore. That simple. He fabricated it and since he hasn't rewritten the headline it is now being reported as fake.
So you intentionally wrote a flamebait headline that contains information that A) has not been confirmed (ie "Watch Dogs has Downgraded Visuals") or B) is a complete fabrication (ie "Watch Dogs has No Gore.")

True this. Overhyping a game can actually ruin the experience. I was obsessed with Uncharted 2 and then when it came out I was surprised at how awesome it really was. But I realized that I could have ruined the experience because I was hyping it up so much for myself.
I'm not sure why this article claims that they are being secretive though. There are tons of articles about this game and there are two weeks until launch.

But, what happened was an anonymous person put out a strange looking gif of game footage. There is no way of knowing where the footage came from, what the resolution of the gif is, or if it is alpha, beta, or game footage.
All the "controversy" comes...

They really tried hard on that article, didn't they? I read that and was like what? And it was quoting an earlier article about it as if they had "discovered" this shocking news. But in reality, they just didn't understand what they were reading.
Or when gay characters are stereotyped. My favorite characters are exactly like you said. Ever see the remarkable movie Philadelphia with Tom Hanks. Wonderful narrative with a great character who happens to be gay.
And I think that is where this debate needs to go. Make a great dynamic character. Homosexuality (when making a character) should be secondary. (Not homosexuality itself) just the focus of the character.

What I believe happened was that a twitter user who had played the PC and then the PS4 version stated that the PS4 version was on par (or slightly less) with the PC version.
This was supported by compressed video from Youtube and some anonymous (not capital A) poster who created a gif of some of the gameplay. Others countered with amazing looking gifs of gameplay.
That suddenly came to mean that all the versions were down graded. Note that Ubisoft have not ...
