Nostalgia: Noun (1)The false belief that one's childhood was better than it actually was
(2) The false belief that the era in which one was a child was better than it actually was
Example: "Back in my day, kids died of both polio AND measles. It was a golden time." -Grandpa Withers
Reviews? Meh. Demos are better. Then you can play for yourself and see if you want to buy the game. Same goes for Betas. Betas got me into games I didn't even know I wanted to play (Team Fortress 2 being one of them).
If there were some criteria that was required to be a reviewer then maybe the concern would be warranted. What prerequisites make one a reviewer?
A degree in fine arts, with a focus on critique? No. A college degree? Nope. At l...
Valve does not make trilogies. They do not make games with the number 3. This has been said.
"The number 3 must not be said," Newell joked.
It is a development philosophy. Not making trilogies (and beyond) forces people who work their to be more creative.
Yes. Day 1.
Imagine a classroom that can go anywhere in the solar system. Make the experience interactive and all teacher controls (squelching all chatter).
No matter where you go in Rome, all of the students can hear each other using their mics. The interactivity can be off the charts. Understanding can be off the charts. VR is the tip of the iceberg.
But like most tech, it's geeks like us and gaming that will get it mainstream.
I was wondering if you could say launch a few more times.
...and the new Dragon Quest XI version looks great.
Farpoint. And Prey. Can not wait.
Yes. This looks amazing. I am so looking forward to more games that are top down. Imagine a Civ VR.... drools.
They are GREEN with envy. I think that they are afraid that it will outsell their favorite BOX.
It is nothing new for those who received a bolt from the BLUE and own a console FOUR gaming awesome exclusives.
It is also funny that those hateboys tend to only support that one MICRO console, yet the other ones fully Prop up the Switch.
I bought the charging stand and I put it on the shelf next to the TV so the wires are hidden behind the TV stand. The wires are only out when I am wearing the helmet (in which case I can't see them).
But I get you, I zip tie all wires because they MUST BE NEAT!!!
I hadn't seen it in this article. I have just been reading every shred of copy about the Fallout 4 VR. Over the course of reading all of those, I learned that they are going to do point to point, free movement, possibly vehicles, and that you would be allowed to choose which method of movement you want to use.
I am a huge fan of free movement because it doesn't bother me at all. The only time I ever felt nauseous was after eating a pepperoni and sausage pizza, ho...
Excellent. So looking forward to this.
Shocking New Poll: Eating food for nourishment firmly ahead of starving to death.
2 hours? Imagine being a publisher or dev and having people want to claim refunds after 50+ hours!
According to the trailer, the entire story of Destiny 1 (what there was of it) doesn't matter...at all. So much for beating back the darkness and retaking a city on Mars....
I love that they are implementing so many different ways of traveling. Can't wait!

Enjoy. It might be a bit salty going down though.
The problem with your argument, and it is a good one, is that, unfortunately, it doesn't coincide with what happens.
Do I want reviews to be exactly as you describe? Certainly. I want all gaming journalism to have integrity. Wouldn't it be great if at least 85-90% of reviews and gaming journalism had integrity with only a few exceptions that were clickbaity garbage? I think that is what we all long for.
Instead, we are stuck with 85-90% clickb...
