PSVR has games, mature, action, sports, exploration, RPG....
Kinect (and Move for that matter) really didn't have anything wondrous.
Mediocre? The first one was a blast but I can understand the complaints that people paid full price for an MP only game.
The second is great as well and MP is quite fun, but, again, the complaints are about microtransactions, not the game.
Play it first, then have an opinion.

Yep, me too. I remember when entire maps disappeared (Moon map from Crucible for example) never to return even when the DLC was purchased.

Umm.... no. I have the platinum trophy. I stopped playing because I have other games to play. The content has been as phenomenal as it has been varied. The free patch updates almost always include quite a bit of new and interesting tweaks.
If you haven't played the game, you probably shouldn't have an opinion on it.
Breaking down why they already are:
1: ratings and advertisers spend mucho dinero on esports.
2: tv channels are dedicated to esports
