Not really... it´s only because most (or at least myself) can not comprehend how a roughly 50% weaker system can be twice as big in volume as its competitor and still come with an external brick.
Now if the XB1 was half the size and had a much smaller external psu (like a dreamcast), it would have probably gotten better feedback from the costumers around the world, even with its ~50% weaker components.
How can you make it twice as big as the PS4 and stil...
If by having roughly 500 more shaders, twice as many render output units, roughly 30% more texture units and a much faster "direct bus" to the gpu components at your disposal means that it´s as hard to get a 1080p render up as on a system with half the rops, 30% less TO and ca 500 less shaders (ignoring the ACE part)....that simply can´t be right, Sir.
You dont have to be an expert in this metier to call BS on this. Not saying that PS4 will run anything at...

Assuming that the game development costs are about $50M for each new TR, Microsoft pays them $50M for each new Tomb Raider they make.
Square Enix makes a new TR for free essentially and sells 1M copies on the XB1. 1M at $60 = $60M thru game sales, SE makes a net win of $10M.
Microsoft hopes that from those 1M, few are new console owners of a XB1. Let´s assume again here about 50% buy an XB1 just for TR, thats ...

Don Mattrick WAS like a SPOKESPERSON of the Xbox Division, a public figure pretty much. He was told to say "this and that", HE was not the (sole) responsible for the whole XB1 fiasco.
They thought he didn´t do a great job of communicating, what others (behind the curtains) had planned for the XB1, he was the easiest/cheapest to kick out.
