I'm fine with it, as long as the remastered title is truly a remastered title, and not a shameless money grab.
The latter issue is less present on platforms with backwards compatibility.
The main reason why next gen consoles can't is due to memory constraints. They technically are able to though, but the developers worry that the space will be taken up very quickly as people walk around the infinite world and generate chunks.
Mobile had the same problem, but the developers for mobile had decided to only save chunks if you exit the game while on one, or if you edit the chunk. Additionally, they had some odd compression to keep the world sizes very small.

Disagree votes for saying I'd like a game to come to a certain platform?
I just hope it makes its way over to the PC at some point down the line. The game looks like a lot of fun.
I wish more Indie studios were brave enough to try making a 3D game. I like 2D games, and I can't stress that enough, but I see a lot of potential with some of their ideas, that could be cooler in 3D.
Thanks. Hope you found it informative.
This is a review though, so we're good I think. Anyway, reading your piece now.
Haha, I just shared a review of the update. It's pretty awesome.
Nice piece.
That was a pretty fun title. Thanks for the comment btw.
I agree. Wii U has monster hunter, one of my favourite series ever. The iPad ( I'd prefer a Nexus 7) would be great for emulating older handheld games.
I quite like isometric 2D games. Fond memories of Boktai, a pretty awesome game by Hideo Kojima.
"Now experience the most immersive simulation of a rock's life".
I'm not sure who to blame tbh.
High Moon Studios made the other transformers games, and they were amazing, and this one is made by some other studio. Add the fact that Hasbro tried to mash the movies and the games together, and you've got a recipe for disaster.
Not really. There are a lot of valid complaints people have made about BioShock Infinite's combat. Totalbiscuit, for one, had a lot to say on the matter, and I recommend checking out his review to see his fairly logical arguments.
Now, that's not to say it's terrible, but the combat *could* have been better.
I think they may have just used the wrong word. "Lighting and shadows" would be more appropriate. With this generation of consoles, the differences are very hard to see on the internet using something like YouTube, or, in this case, GIFs.
Yeah that was originally posted on Gamerbolt.
I don't think it's marketing so much as extra coverage by the press. Gamers right now seem to be a little more aware about these things.
Games should be, ideally, at 1080P 60FPS, and somehow they're not achieving that a lot of times on consoles.
I'd be fine with dialling back lighting effects and particles for more FPS, but I'm not sure how many else would. It'd be great if we had PC like options for this, but a lot more simplified, but then again, othe...
Of course I'm not suggesting that.
Don't see why you're getting downvoted into oblivion. Many have the same opinion, especially if there are innovations like 4K gaming becoming affordable. If current gen consoles can push high/ ultra graphics but at limited framerates / resolution, then that's definitely going to become more of an issue as time goes on.
Bear in mind that while we will see optimisations on games, it's not going to happen to the extent it happened with last gen consoles at all.
