I'm looking forward to many games on the PS3 that are exclusive to PS3. Drakengard 3 and Persona 5, to name a couple. Why didn't Microsoft work out deals to get those on the 360?

I don't see your point about 1st or 3rd party. Bottom line is there is much reason to keep a PS3 thus far even perhaps to 2015, while there is zero reason to do so for the 360 unless I'm mistaken.
Whether it be first party or not, exclusives are still exclusives.
How many exclusives are coming to 360 this year is the most interesting question, first party or not.
