Even though one might think that this is an all inclusive comparison, that will once and for all mark the Ps3 as the "superior" version.
im not so sure.
It really only demonstrates that the ps3 has a better color palate.
and if you play your video games further than 1 ft away from the screen (or you own a 80 in lcd, in which case im jealous) you probably wont notice the pixelation.

in his defense, he has an interesting comment. look at the article (well even that is a misnomer)... its a blog.
the article's main point rests on "Blu-Ray’s whomping victory over HD-DVD", later saying that the ps3's blu ray drive is going to drive console sales for PEOPLE WHO WANT HIGH DEFINITION MOVIES.
Blue ray is winning but what does that really mean? its a percentage... more people buy blu-ray as opposed to HD-DVD.

I am in a fraternity and most of the guys that own a console have a 360....
~20 360's in the house
and
1 PS3.... that i never see get played
.... so uncool that 90% of my console owning friends, house or not, own one...
Games aren't always good... if they were there would be not point in reviewing games in the first place.
IGN gave it a 4.9 and Gamestats.com, which takes all of the reputable reviewing sites and takes an average score shows that lair gets a 6.1

Why do people defend this little game as if every single low review score is a personal attack on the Playstation 3 itself?
What use is a game if it is not fun to play (IGN GAMEPLAY = 4.5), and that once you play once through the game... you have no desire to play it ever again (IGN LASTING APPEAL = 5.5)
I would argue that gameplay and lasting appeal are the two most important aspects to consider before you drop 60 bucks on a new game
And if not that, IGN has the right to rate their games however they see fit.

I want you to read this article by Dpad....I REALLY do.
Its a well written analysis of the two current gen systems and it even goes into explaining some of the ridiculous terms such as "the cell can perform 218 Gflops" which, just as sony and microsoft indended it, blindside those who just want to believe their console is THE BEST.
(by the way, that particular number is theoretical and only seen in IBM's labs)
It really forces Micro$oft to compress their games quite a bit. But supposedly, compression techniques are fairly effective... IE how a massive game such as oblivion can be made for the 360. It was heavily compressed, and that was why the Ps3 version that came out over a year later was better... it had uncompressed textures.
