So i suppose some are coming to the conclusion that since Sony believes that it has SOLD 28.3 mil to customers that its shipped numbers surely be higher than that of the 360's shipped worldwide.
But how much different could the numbers really be? is it significant?

I started off by making fun of Halo Wars because it wasn't a pc RTS or from blizzard. I downloaded the demo and it grew on pretty fast. Yes, it does lack some of the sophistication of Warcraft III, but it sure is fun to play. Most importantly, it has a good control interface making it MUCH easier to control than C&C on the 360.

Even though my 360 has broken several times... I have still yet to see anything from the "superior" PS3 that is actually superior at all... it came out a year later and had a price tag that was several hundred dollars more. It should have blown 360 out of the water.

For the past 2+ years both sides have been trying to prove that their console of choice is the best... when in reality they are so close that such an argument is pointless.
i think its all too easy to just sum up everything as "they're just jealous because im so great..." (those stories are BS though)
As a 360 owner if i were to be jealous of anything it would likely be graphics... and at that, i rarely read a review for cross platform games that claim that the ps3 was any better... Ps3 typically has a framerate issue (albeit only a slight one)
Oblivion is one important exception that comes to mind but overall both systems are...
its a shame when you think about all of those features in the PS3... usb slots, sd card slots ect... when what Sony fans actually want is somewhere to actually make love to the console itself.

I was at first excited at the possiblility of being able to afford a blu-ray player, being that i have a 360 instead of a ps3. But then i read the article
So now they are planning on selling Blu-ray players for $440? wow...
As a consumer, i feel cheated.... Sony can afford to include a Bluray player in their PS3 and it IS STILL LESS than a stand alone unit.
Im sure the cost of all of the Ps3's internal components (neglecting Bluray) must be nearly $300 ...

I remember reading several articles on ign that listed the most played titles on xbox live... and its not halo3. I just searched for articles on COD4 and copy/pasted them for you to see

Yes, some sites did say that the ps3 version looked better. They typically used words like "fuzzy" during the review, and later mentioned how it made it look more realistic. The Ps3 GTAIV did in fact, run on 640p.
The blur filter used to cover the lower resolution actually gave the game a nice feel, and added to realism.

Yes that is almost completely true... but by Vgchartz numbers (which you quoted) it is actually 22,996,000 Ps3 to 20,060,000... you fibbed a million!
So Sony is doing well. I dont think they are doing as well as they would like though. They need to be blasting M$ out of the water and selling much more than they are now. I think that each 360 that is sold is one less potential customer for Sony to use to catch up because most people wont bother to buy 2 ...
