Most people were saying ~ 2 years. Returnal launched early last year. If the PC version launches late this year/early next year it'll be ~2 years.

Look in the mirror, lol.

I thought Gamepass is the best deal in gaming.

You obviously won't buy it anyway.

@LOGICWINS

Are you saying we should wait for next gen? I don't understand how people still defend Micoroft after over a decade of disappointments and false promises. Microsoft can't even manage their original handfull of studios, let alone over 30.

I've been hearing this for 10 years now. Microsoft for some reason just can't manage their studios and having more of those won't make it easier.

This is so Microsoft/Xbox. Always overhyping, underdelivering and using the same Phil Spencer PR crap as an apology. Power you dreams and keep dreaming

It's mainly stock issues with Sony. MS is affected by this too with the Series X but they have series S to fall back on.

I used to work at retail and i got that question many times when it came to Xbox. xD

Unpopular is an understatement. Many who aren't into gaming don't even know what an Xbox is. They see the console and ask if it's the new Playstation or Nintendo system.

Good luck selling an Xbox here in Germany.

Sony and especially Nintendo don't have a reason to do day 1 releases on a sub service. Their games are selling over 10 million easily.

What cop out? Sony never promised first party games day 1. Thas was just wishful thinking. And Sony isn't MS they don't have infinite money to burn on a service without going out of business.

Not excuses. Sony isn't MS. They don't have infinite money to burn. And no one ever said first party games would be available day 1.

I just don't think a game like Uncharted or Ghost of Tsushima can be sustainable on a sub service without any cutbacks.

1529d ago 8 agree1 disagreeView comment

The games would suffer too in the long run. Games like God Of War, Uncharted, TLOU and Horizon cost a ton of money to make. I don't think a monthly sub is enough to cover the costs. Especially not when people can just cancel their sub after they're done with the game.

People need to realise that Sony (and Nintendo) don't have the money to just gift their first party games day 1.

Just because their first project is a multiplayer game doesn't mean that they won't make SP games in the future.
